The first KH where Kairi and Sora are on that little spit of land, finally reunited, but suddenly things start going to hell and they break apart.

Sora: I'll find you!
Kairi: I know you will!
Me: *bawls* YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO THEM!

Also the ending scene of FFX where Yuna runs towards Tidus but he's already fading and so she runs right through him and collapses on the deck of the ship. That really got to me, as well as Auron walking off during Yuna's final Sending, while his theme plays and he fades away.

Lastly ... the last scene of FF9 where Zidane surprises Garnet by being the cloaked figure in the play. It was girly and probably seen from a mile away, but it made me tear up. I was so happy for them. XD;;
I agree with you in the FFX one

Definitely Majora's Mask, and most specifically, the Song of Healing from it.

It gets me every time. :'(
yeah and the fact that you have to use is on that dancing dead guy to help him pass on in order to get that mask. :*(
Like the Zora who was alive just to sing you the story. Yeah, I felt bad when I did that.

I have two.
The first one is Legacy of Kain, All of the series, but mostly Defiance.

The second one would have to be Vampires the masquerade - Bloodlines.
That game took me so deep I actually wanted to become a vampire.

Halo, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Marathon, Vice City, Saints Row, Fable I & II. Probably more if I go looking through my games pile. It doesn't take much for me to love a game.

Kingdom Hearts...maybe Kingdom Hearts 2 aswell. It seems pretty obvious that any game of this style would be chosen, but meh, I like thinking in the box, it's safe and warm.
Also Halo CE and GTA3.

Lost Odyssey - If you actually take the time to read the dream sequences you end up feeling amazingly sorry for Kaim and the other immortals. Sad, sad stuff.
The writing in the dreams were absolutely brilliant. Brought a tear to my eyes more than once.
I know what you mean.

Aw man, when i played games on psp or ds in class last year that was really easy. . . until FF7 crisis core came along, and I blew my cover in class with a lone tear down my cheek, staring at the little but sad screen at my desk and blurting out passionately, "yes zach. . .Yes, you are a hero!"

Max Payne 2 and Shadow of the Colossus. Two very different games I know, but they're so good I feel like I'm cheating by submitting works of art instead of games. :p

Morrowind.

That was the first time I truly got lost in a gaming world, and is one of the best RPG's ever.

Unfortunately, I can't replay it and get the same feeling, now it's just too easy.

And Oblivion was just a disappointment in comparison.

The scene with Tidus and Jecht just before the big fight at the end of Final Fantasy 10 really got to me. The voice acting was pretty hit and miss in that game, but it was aces in that part.

steambot chronicles for some some reason truly endeared itself to me... the mix of mech customization, free-form/sandbox gameplay, and music/rhythm elements really appealed to me... and for some dumb reason, i really started liking the cheesy music w/ it's poor english translations...

That is precisely why I'm dragging my feet to complete Crisis Core. They're just out of Nibelheim and I do not want to finish it because I KNOW what happens and T______T

Mass Effect, man have I been talking about that game a lot on this forum. I went in with little knowledge about the game (other then it was supposed to be really good) and was blown away. I don't think I've ever played a game that I wanted to play through again right after beating it.

I love vague and/or emotional questions on a game site. Not even being sarcastic.

Soul Blazer (SNES) - Really fun and the ending is one of the only times I shed a tear in front of a game. It is beautiful.

Phantasy Star 4 - I wanted to join them; I was a kid.

Katamari Damacy - Fills my Heart with joy every time from the moment the theme music plays.

GTA San Andreas - Also fills my heart with joy; for very different reasons.

New games that might also make this list; time will tell:
Saints Row 2 - Almost gives me that same joy San Andreas still can. Almost; but I couldn't tell you what's missing.
Valkyria Chronicles - One of the most unique and beautiful yet laid back games I've ever played.

These last two are the biggest surprises to me this year; now my favorites of this year too.

Was just going to say that. Oh Morrowind, how you sucked away hours and hours and hours of my life.

Other than that, I absolutely fell in love with Escape Velocity: Nova, Starcraft, Sim City 2000, and Civilization 3. Now being absolutely sucked in by Civilization 4 and Neverwinter Nights 2. Such great games.

And for absolute calm, Kingdom for Keflings. I have never played a game and just felt so calm. Even things that would normally make me scream in fury, like knowing some one out there in Japan decided to make a harem anime drawing and subsequently bastardizing Lovecraftian elements, just passed right through me as I smiled contently.

Then I had to kill the game, because that's just not natural.

Final Fantasy VIII was the first game to really ht me, I was and pretty much still am Squall, personality wise anyway, all the decisions and expressions we're identical to my own, then having Rinoa taken away whilst being duty bound to do nothing, finally doing anything within his power to get her back, hits me every time, we all want a fairy tail ending

GTA IV hit me as well, when they killed Kate. I immersed myself so much into the game I went into a blind rage, like I imagined Niko would have.

Fallout 3 was most recent, just seeing a possible (although alternative) future was just like, wow

I've said it countless times, but I'll say it again

Star Ocean: The second story holds a very special place in my heart... it's my favorite game of all time

Nostalga crushes me every time I think if the sleepless nights I've spent playing it
