GUN was great fun the first time, but since then, it's been almost to play through it on any difficulty without getting incredibly bored. Nothing to do with the graphics, mind, it just has no replay value whatsoever.

I think I got as far as Dodge City the second time around before succumbing to total tedium and quitting.
Whoa, another person liked Gun? I thought I was the only one. I did only play it once, when I rented it. It was good Wild West gun. And although I didn't scalp much, I loved the premise. I mean, I can just imagine the designers talking in a meeting:
John: "So. How about we let the player scalp guys?"
Clint: "Yeah, that sounds pretty good actually. What will he get for it?"
John: "What?"
Clint: "Well, what reward will he get for scalping them?"
John: "The reward is... scalping someone?"
Clint: "But... What's the incentive..? Can they trade the scalps?"
Samuel L. Jackson: "NO ************! We're scalping because it's FUCKING BADASS. Now what do you not understand about that?"

OP: I'd say Dragon Age: Origins. My character looks like a sleazebag that preys on little boys when he's not greasing his hair. Apparently he left his trenchcoat at home and decided to wear leather skirts and silly hats instead. It puts me off the whole game. Plus, I kind of didn't do things the way I wanted and people died that shouldn't have died. At least I f*@%ed Morrigan, but still.

Modern warfare 2
Far too competitive, not a major problem as I enjoy a bit of fair sport.
MW2 however moves as far away from fair play as it possibly can, the multiplayer is dominated by whoever can be the biggest D*ck and use any overpowered or dirty trick they can. Completely killed it for me, not to mention how unrealistic it is [Sure. People can run forever and stab your entire team in real life!]

Super Smash Bros. Melee has kind of lost its spark for me. Brawl is at least partially responsible (it's hard to go back to the breakneck pace of Melee after getting used to the decidedly slower Brawl), but the main reason is that the competitive community has broken the game down so completely that anyone less than a full-time player will have no chance of winning whatsoever. Forget playing at conventions, or even at small gatherings with friends; there's always that one guy who knows all the tricks, and will use them to destroy you.

I'm not begrudging players who play to win, mind you. I just make a point to avoid them. Hence, I make a point to avoid Melee.

This is the kind of philosophy I end up applying to most competitive fighting games I'm not experienced in, really. Street Fighter IV and Brawl are fine because I've been playing them since release. I'm no world champ, but I know enough to at least put up a fight. Street Fighter III and Melee, on the other hand, are completely impregnable.

Pokemon and Animal Crossings and The Sims.
I've already done just about everything that can be done in all those games (including getting all non-event Pokemon in Diamond) and any time I go back to play it now feels more like a chore.

I'm going to say Runescape. It was a great introduction to MMOs for me and I actually liked it when I first started playing it, but it just lost its charm for me (especially since I got to play City of Villains right at the point when runescape had me focusing more on mining and cutting down trees rather than clicking things to death).

I'm going to have to say Ninja Gaiden 2. I went through on warrior mode and loved it. Started mentor mode and loved it. Would get stuck on ridiculously hard battles and would fight for hours on end to clear to the next checkpoint. But, somehow I stopped playing the game (something else came out I'm sure) and I lost all my skill. Not very fun to pop back in the disc only to get your ass handed to you by the first mob and feeling completely lost in the game map.

Red faction guerilla, at first it was fun to break shit, but then it started lagging, and microsoft windows lives had a game crashing update (still does) and you coudln't save, and it would crash and it would lag for no reason, and there are so many edf its like walking into alabama...and your gay, and you don't like football, and it lags when changing weapons, and you can't hold all the guns at once, you get to hold 3 and a hammer.

I tried popping in Fable 2 a few days ago and even with the host of DLC I could not get back into, I tried playing as a complete evil bastard and there was a few moments of new game feeling but still I had a "Ehhhhhh" feeling after about 30 minutes.

And dare I say Modern Warfare 2. Once again with the new DLC I feel it's getting boreing and it's not just because of the repitive game play but the people even with mute are starting to get annoying, you know them, the so called, "Xbox Live Thugs". I have more fun playing in private matchs with a group of friends and makeing up our own game modes like, riot shield battles or "Jason Mode".

OT: Has anyone been approched about a 10th prestiage mod room more than 3 times in a game? I mean come on it seems everyone has a mod, a hack or cheat of some type; Another reason I bore of MW2.

I must be a weird one, I've played Gun through at least five times. I guess something about it just struck me, I don't even know what.

Borderlands seems to periodically lose and then regain its fun factor to me, I tire of the endless farming then get hooked on the killing again.

Just Cause 2 was fun at first, but eventually it starts to become repetitive and the missions are ridiculous.

a bad day to not have a psp eh?
*sniff*
There's always the Arcade game (Yet to be seen outside of public testings). But you'd have to be in Japan for that. :< It has way better graphics though, and they added some new PVs, mystery content, and so on.

I also forgot to mention the 'Dream Theater' (or maybe it was called Dreamy Theater) project that they are working on for PS3. It lets you play the PSP games on the PS3, but with almost Arcade version level graphics (slightly worse if you compare the two). They have videos of it on Nico Nico.

It might be worth it if you have a few other PSP games you'd want, but unless you are a Mikutard like some of us (me), a PSP isn't worth buying just the two PD games. (I already had one, so it was a reason to keep mine. lol)

Agreed to a certain point. It's a shame as I loved melee but Brawl totaly ruined it. Don't get me wrong Brawl was a fun game but not a patch on melee and the tourny scene never really happened for it, nowhere near as much as melee. I was good but never enough for tourny play but my mate was (2nd best in UK for a long while) and went to a few in Sweden etc.

Red Faction Guerilla. After a while it just starts to get repetitious. Of course I just couldn't be bothered doing the side missions to unlock all the cool toys and stuff. I might start playing it again after I finish Just Cause 2 though.

Command and Conquer Generals. I used to love that game, but now I recognized the stereotypical voice acting, the bad graphics, the poor sense of scale and how blocky it was to move around the map.

Star Wars Battlefront 2. It was a great game, it just didn't feel the same since I played Modern Warfare 2 and Bad Company 2.

I don't think it's terrible, but some stuff...

Well, y'know your black market contact, that "Sloth Demon" guy? Let's just say that after doing a certain mission, he becomes very, very different. And not in a good way.

Ah yeah I know what you mean. I got up to that part. Yeah I thought he was going to be someone very different then that. In my opinion, they didn't put much heart into writingthe storyline.
