No real topic or giant ass intro paragraph. I was playing a game when suddenly BAM! I had the image of what the game would be like playing as Clementine from The Walking Dead. Then i thought of a whole game where you play as a young girl, forcing her way to survive through many treacherous warzones and environments.

Would this be good? How would you portray playing as a child, fearful in an unforgiving landscape.
For reference, I imagine it as The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon

<quote=Token Stephen King Quotes>
?She had a bottle of water in her pack - a big one with a squeeze-top - but suddenly all Trisha wanted in the world was to prime the pump in the little hut and get a drink, cold and fresh, from it?s rusty lip. She would drink and pretend she was Bilbo Baggins, on his way to the Misty Mountains.?

I think I played a couple of games like that... does Rule of Rose count? Jen is older but I'm pretty sure she's meant to be roughly the other kids' age in the game because... well...

I think the game is about older Jennifer reminiscing/dreaming about her orphanage days at Rose Garden. We see her as she is "now", but she's a child in the eyes of her orphanage buddies. Which explains how she gets constantly owned by kids several inches shorter and years younger, like, constantly

So, are we talking about a specific game or little girl characters?

There's loads of games I can mention about women, girls, or females of any age group, as well as games about children in general.

I cannot however comment much about Walking Dead because I don't know much about it.

There's actually several games quite like that.

In fact your description sounds a bit like the indie game Iji. Isn't the protagonist of Iji supposed to be a young teenager?

When I read this topic I thought it would be able games starring little girls. And I was about to start hurling examples like Magical Pop'n.

Really creepy PS1 game in which I never figured out where to go. :s

Oh, the first Clock Tower (SNES) too. You play as a young Jeniffer I believe.

Well, for all the criticism I give Bioshock 2 I quite liked the bit playing as the Little Sister.

Siren: Blood Curse had some very frightening sections where you play as a defenseless little girl who has to run and hide from hostile zombie-like creatures
including her own mother.
