At some point or another, videogames are more enjoyable than life, even to those saying otherwise. If they werent, no one would play them. Sure, its not 100% videogames are better than every waking moment of life, but obviously there are times when life is pretty dull, so you turn to an interactive entertainment option. You know, a video game.

......what?
Dude, I really love videogames and I play many of them, but come on, better than Life?
I will NEVER in my life [yes, I know...] put a Videogame over my family,my friends,my work.
Sure, I love to play games and talk about them a lot in Internet and be able to not fear of what kind of games I play [because I play "strange" games].
However, no, I will never do this, ever. I don't like to think like that!!!

Sorry for saying this, but you need to face reality. Sure it may be difficult [it IS difficult, but I am saying], but don't destroy your life for Videogames.

No game can beat salmon for dinner.

Probably the only time I really prioritized gaming over real life was when I was ensconced in Myst Online, but that only lasted for a few days.

Mmmmmmmm...salmon.
Being from Greece, I really appreciate the delicious foods I taste every single day.

Lazania with Vegetables, Mushroom Pie ,Kalitsounia, Mousaka, Greek Pilaf [ the normal name is "Γαμοπιλαφο"], and many different kind of foods I enjoy in daily bases.
I love my life, not only for this of course.

And then while the time pass playing hundred of hours videogames, you just realised you want to go out from your room, go close to your father, mother and brother and said to them:

"Thank you for being with me even if I am not perfect as you wanted to be. Thank you even if I play many hours of videogames or waste my time with other things, you still love me for what I am. I am sorry I am not always with you all of you and for still accept me with a warm smile. Thank you............because my life have a meaning"

...most of them?

Life is a dull affair full of actual pain and death and suffering and dumb NPCs, unless a game is really bad its usually more enjoyable than chilling around IRL.
Yeah, pretty much this.

If I had to pick a single game that I really enjoy and I can play for tens of hours straight, it would be Hearts of Iron III (with the Historical Plausibility Project mod).

I agree with some people here that most games ARE more fun than real life, that's why we play them. I mean, unless you are some rich guy who can jump on his private jet and fly off to anywhere in the world and afford everything there is to do out there at any time, I can't think of stuff that is more fun than games. I am including board games on this one.

Now, for me, FTL has been draining me. I love how you try, and try, and get slightly better each time. Also, sometimes the first move you make is into a fucking zone with a sun and solar flares which destroys your oxygen AND doors so you can't open doors and your crew dies a slow and painful death. Or you have an amazing run like me, get double burst lasers and blast your way through 90% of the game. Second phase of the final ship got me, way to many fucking drones to handle even with 4 full shields. I basically didn't have the firepower to cripple the ship enough. Next time, I will be ready.

I see gaming as a part of life. The best moments in my life are when I do something purely for my own enjoyment - Whether it's sex, gaming, watching a film, or reading a book.

If you mean a game more enjoyable than my daily routine? Yes. Most of them are. I don't bother with those that aren't (MMOs).
