I'd like a game based around an outbreak in the SCP Foundation. For those that don't know what I'm talking about the SCP Foundation is a wiki that documents objects and entities apprehended by the (obviously) fictitious Foundation, a secret organization with the goal of securing, containing and protecting the aforementioned entities called SCPs. There is a report on each SCP and it's a blast to read since it´s presented in a pseudo-realistic manner and they can range from funny to horrifying. I encourage anyone to check the site out, I doubt you'll regret it.

There have been some indie games based around some of the SCPs but I'd like a game where you could actually interact with all of them and it would be engaging from a gameplay perspective too. Want regenerative health? Go find the magic amulet that heals you over time. Want to really protect yourself in the outbreak, grab a revolver and put it in the machine that can refine anything that you want so you can get a badass futuristic revolver that can destroy everything in it's sights. Ally yourself with some of the friendlier SPC and watch them and the not so friendly SCP duke it out with their powers.

An rpg where a remote station at a soviet gas line is suddenly cut off from the world and the people stationed there are forced to struggle against eachother for survival as their resources slowly dwindle. No massive open world environment, no hundreds of people to meet, just a small-ish, tightly controlled cast that interacts with eachother vying against eachother for what little resources are left as they struggle to be one of the last few people left alive when rescue finally shows up.
None of this "struggle against nature to survive" bullshit, not a "lost on an island, wait for rescue" scenario where rescue might arrive, just a simple setup: you and the dozens of people in this station are now trapped here with enough food and water to last ten of you, assuming you don't waste it on trying to keep everyone alive. The catch: the gas line must remain opperational otherwise the water dispensing station will be remotely shut down. You can either be good enough at fighting to be able to easily survive but bad at dealing with other people and also dependant on others to keep the gas flowing, good enough at engineering that you can keep the gas line running yourself and not need others but awful at fighting and have a difficult time dealing with people, or good enough at dealing with people to be able to easily get others on your side but poor in a fight and bad at engineering. And the hungrier and thirstier you get, the worse you'll be at all those things-- to weak to hold your weapon steady, too tired and irritable to get along with anybody, or too exhausted to repair right. No matter what, there's no easy way and the only objective you're ever given, right at the start when you all get trapped in, is this; survive.
This sounds awesome, actually. I think it'd take some tweaking to stop it getting boring but maybe as a niche long-term multiplayer experience?

Weeell, I always thought combining an RTS with space-sim-shooters, first-person shooters, building- and economy-sims etc. would be awesome. But from what I heard, something like that exists now, to a degree; it's not as integrated and as variety-rich as I would have hoped for, but it's a step in the right direction, it seems. I haven't actually played it yet, but there's this EVE-shooter that's supposed to be tied into the EVE-gameplay. Improve upon that, add more aspects to it (like people running colony planets kind of like an Anno-game to generate resources that the RTS-commanders can use to buy ships to attack with, drop troops, who in turn fight inside facilities, enemy ships etc.) and we'll get close to my dream multiplayer-game.
its in the making, called Star citizen.
which is, incidentaly (me being a sci-fi freak) my "game that i want but havent been made yet" except for that it is in the making.

if i would choose another one it would be a game that really challenges your view of society, narcotics and alcohol included, just show the dark and grimy sides of our world, not just what "they" want you to see.

A few things;

1: A game I can play as a Imperial Guardsmen from Warhammer 40K. I don't care how, but i would like it in the style of Only war, which is GW's Roleplay series for being Guardsmen.

2: A game that blends RTS with ground pounding shooting. How it would work in multiplayer is 5 man teams, one person who is designated by the team at the beginning before the match starts, is like your standard faceless RTS commander, able to make troops and upgrades and send them to battle. The 4 remaining players can choose a variety of classes and act as "Hero units" able to commandeer built vehicles at will and choose from a variety of specializations, while receiving order s from their elected leader. The goal is similar to Company of Heroes, "Eliminate the enemies base" or "capture strategic points" or there can be another game type called something like "Strike force" Or "Skirmish" For shorter games, where the leader starts with a small amount of resources and the players have a limited number of spawns tied to those resources, and the first team to reach 0 or their base destroyed loses.

A game with a story equal to that of a great film or book. Even the greatest stories in videogames like Bioshock or Silent Hill 2 are only the equivalent of a mediocre book.

Something along the lines of Mass Effect and Dragon Age, but in a setting that involves the normal world as it is in 2013 or so, and an exclusively magic based world coming together, combining magic and technology. The story would then pick up maybe 10-20 years later. Rather than the exploration of ME and DA, where you just choose a place and the game takes you there, you would be flying a gigantic airship around yourself, choosing where to go.

Also something I really think they missed out on in both games would be missions/scenarios where you play as other squadmates that you didn't bring along with you onto your mission or were sent somewhere else while you were doing your own thing. It happened once in Dragon Age towards the end and I thought it was awesome, Mass Effect never did it and I thought that was really disappointing.

Squads would be like ME (Player + 2 Teammates of Player's choice) except with the option of also having one animal companion that is specific to each character. For example, character A has a war dog, B has a phoenix, C has a spider or something, (I haven't put much thought into any but 2 characters haha) and you bring A and B, you could bring either the dog or the phoenix.

Finally, each character would also acquire some kind of alternate form to change into, like maybe one character would become a werewolf, but through training or magical means, gains the ability to change at will, making them awesome for close combat, or a sniper that can change into a bird to be able to move to good vantage positions. Some characters, usually ones that came from the magic world, would already have these, but others might acquire them through the story, and it could end up being a major part of their arc.

Woo, that was a lot I know, but I've had this story swimming around my head for a while. If this game was made, and it was actually good, I'd have to give the developer all my money. Just, all of it.

Are you thinking the Book or the Film? They'd be two very different animals. One an arena 'Smash TV' media saturated game show, the other a hyper dramatized 'Americas Most Wanted' with lethal consequences and everyone and their mother looking at a payday for turning you in.
Book, I'd completely forgotten about the Arnold movie actually though now that I think about it that could have a charm of its own. But no, the book is the one I was thinking of.

Nintendo vs. insert game and, or comic company.
This just reminded me of another idea my friends and I had. What if Netherrealm Studios made a huge expansion to Injustice: Gods Among Us, maybe for $30-$40, that added a roster of Marvel Characters and Stages? Hell, I'd even be happy with a few skins for existing characters to make them Marvel, like a Deadpool skin for Deathstroke, or The Thing for Doomsday.

I remembered another idea I had a long time ago. Here it is:

A dinosaur game that's a RTS/FPS/RPG/Fighter hybrid. Which it would be depends on if you control humans or small, weak but fast dinosaurs or large, slow, and resilent dinosaurs at the time. You move your unit around the map in a topdown view like most RTS's, and when you run into another enemy unit you *FLASH* and enter a battle arena which is based on the terrain of the RTS map you're in at the time (you're surrounded by trees if you're in a forest, in a narrow passage if in a mountain, etc.). If you're a human against a human, it's a standard First or third person shooter (you choose), but using whatever weapons and body armor you've got equipped at the time, as well as traps everywhere around the area you can use to trip your enemy up, such as snare traps or something, and they could do the same to you. If you're a human against a dinosaur, if it's a small dinosaur it's just a shooter with the aforementioned traps, but with a dumber opponent more likely to fall for traps and if you're up against a large dinosaur you can't beat it as human unless you're equipped with heavy ordinance and must use traps such as using a large boulder trap to drop on them or trick the dinosaur into dropping into a pit to damage it, or whatever (the dinos are stupid but the same dino won't fall for the same trap twice so you have to mix it up). If you're a small dinosaur it's basically the same as human but you must melee your enemy, and if you're a large dinosaur if you fight a human you must chase the human and get close to attack it while avoiding falling into traps. If it's same size dinos vs each other would be more like a fighting game, while small vs large would be pretty much like human vs large dinos. Of course, eventually tanks would enter the picture, fighting them would be like a smarter large dino that also needs heavy ordinance or traps to take out and can cause great damage but can't trigger most traps.

If you win the battle, depending on your enemy you'd get loot, weapons, armor and money for humans, tanks would be salvaged for metals used to craft weapons and armor and sometimes even fully repairable and thus useable and dino bones and skins with which to make various armors and primitive weapons (useful when you're out of ammo or don't have a gun at the time) or to be sold and sometimes eggs that you could later hatch and then be able to use the type of dinosaur you looted the egg from (unless you took out an egg eating dinosaur, in which case the species of the egg would be randomly selected).

You'd also get experience and thus level up, which would increase either the speed (how fast the unit moves during combat) defense (how much damage the unit can avoid taking before health is lost) HP(duh) accuracy (humans with weapons) and attack (damage you inflict obviously).

Humans would have body armor and either primitive or modern weapons to equip while dinosaurs would have to rely on their statistics to get them through.

This would probably be best as a mount and blade style RTS, with an open world to walk around in.

For a few years now I've thought it would be cool to play something like a coop flight simulator, where you and your teammates control a spaceship together. A captain, a pilot/helmsman, gunner/tactical, and either another tactical officer or an engineer. A little like Star Trek I guess, but more interesting and less cheesy. :p

Superhero: The Game.

Essentially I want an open world Sandbox style action game with character customization being a good mix of Saints Row and Champions Online. Let me design my Superhero from the ground up from costume to power set.

The key thing is to not alter game play to fit the powers chosen but allow flexibility in mission completion style enough to have a Punisher style vigilante just as viable as a Superman style Metahuman.

There was a game that a friend of mine and I were discussing once upon a time. Something like an MMO FPS. Basically it would be like a massive game of Risk in which you enlist for a faction and go to war. The battlefields would be never-ending/free roaming. That is to say there'd be no borders to them. When your faction went to war, you literally had to push all the way across the land/sea/air in the form of an actual invasion. There would be no "rounds" or "matches", just an all-out war in which you're trying to take the capital of another faction. Seize the capital, and everyone playing for that faction joins your faction. The only time the game ends is if one faction happens to take all the capitals.

I've forgotten most of the finer details that we discussed about a ranking system and how actual players became generals to assign raid missions that people could sign up for based on what class they were playing and such. But it sounded really fun when we were talking about it. :3

Huh, I may have to read up on that. I thought it was just going to be another space- and trade-sim.

Essentially Sword Art On-Wait come back!

Sword Art Online. Despite how much of a male Mary Sue Kirito is the game itself he's in would be fucking amazing to play. That fairy one he played as well, Alfheim, or something. I'd probably prefer Alfheim(?) to be perfectly honest.

I believe the Frontline game did that
Not sure about Frontline, but I know Planetside did that, and it came out only a year after World of Warcraft was released. Planetside 2... is kind of trying to recreate that experience, but it's still having a rough time with its execution of the concept.
