A good book you read recently.

I searched for the topic but only topics of similiar came up.

So what is a good book you read recently. I just finished yesterday "The Demon King" by Cinda Williams Chima and I had to read it mainly becuase its for my summer reading project for school and normaly the book choices aren't very good but this one was an extremely pleasent suprise. The book was AMAZING! I ended up sitting down for 3 or so hours reading the book becuase I wanted to know what happens.

When I finished it I searched up for a sequel and was sad to find out the sequel isnt out yet. now I wish it was september...

Just recently finished rereading the Crossroads trilogy by Nick O'donohoe, in a nutshell it's centered around the idea of applying veterinary science to mythological creatures.

And to answer the person who knows about my constant rehashing, YES I will keep advocating this series until everybody has read it!

"Awkward Situations For Men" by Danny Wallace. He's my favourite author because his writing style is bloody hilarious. And all of his books are non-fiction, making them even better. He also wrote Yes Man, which was made into a film.

Right now I'm reading Fight Club which is very well written.

Sunrise over falujia. By Walter Dean Myer. I am only 14, so I like the books, Yet they are serious. I can't wait to read fallen Angels by him. That looks so good.

Just finished a number of novels. (Yes, I read multiple novels at the same time. I'm weird that way.) The most significant of which was "Next" by Micheal Chrichton. It was an interesting, convoluted tale dealing with the less awe-inspiring, morally incredulous aspects of genetics. The last quarter of the book was just spectacular.

Besides that, I've been workin' my way through the entire Battletech series of books. Picked up a vast majority of the series as a collection for cheap. I was surprised to learn that so many of the authors they hired to pen some of them were noted best-sellers.

Lastly, I've been rereading a good portion of my old collection of novels. Most notably "Contact" by Carl Sagan; "Dune" by Frank Herbert; and "2001: A Space Odyssey" by Arthur C. Clarke.

However, I'm really excited to start reading the "Foundation" series by Issac Asimov. A friend managed to get all of the books and as soon as she finishes one, she's going to hand them off to me to read.

"The Redemption Of Althalus" By David&Leigh Eddings, my favorite book written by the Eddings. Like The lord of the rings, only interesting, written in a language a person speaks, has some great humor and one liners you can use in real life, and there is only one 800 page book.
(so, basically it kicks the shit out of TLoTR)

hmm... I just read a bit of it on wikipedia sounds pretty good, might check it out after I get to finally reading Halo: Contact Harves, Halo: Cole Protocol, Metro 2033, and then Guild Wars: Ghosts of Ascalon.

also dang 800 pages? alot must happen!

I just started A Feast For Crows by George R.R. Martin and the entire series is awesome, second only to Lord of the Rings for fantasy

John Dies at the End. It's an amazing book by David Wong, and extremely funny. It gets boring around the middle after Las Vegas, but it picks up later.

Just finished Focault's Pendulum by Umberto Ecco. Imagine if Dan Brown was a good writer and the Da Vinci Code wasn't dull and predictable - then you would have this book. In other words: a very satisifying read.

I just reread the third draft of my book. I still don't like it, but it ostensibly kicks more ass than a can-can line at a "Huge-assed People of America" convention.

Other than that, the last really good one I remember reading was Crazy in Alabama. Call me kooky, call me crazy, but I thought it was frikkin' awesome.

Foucault's Pendulum was brilliant. I ended up making my own Plan for a school paper. I just finished reading Nine Stories by J.D. Salinger. A Perfect Day for Bananafish was just insane.

Yeah, alot happens, there is a big backstory and shit, I mean all of the Eddings' books have a full on back plot and they have maps for the whole story world, it's amazing.

I finished the Night Angel trilogy recently, freaking loved it. Now i've started reading Dune, i've only read five chapters so far but I can sense awesomeness.
