Er...you mean a good game adaptation of a film, or a good film adaptation of a game?
In either case, it seems unlikely for a while. Game adaptations of films seem more often than not to be an attempt to expand the franchise a bit by the studios. You know, make a quick buck as a tie-in. A legit business strategy, but I don't see it producing great art anytime soon.
As for movie adaptations of games, I think the track record speaks for itself. Even discounting Uwe Boll's pathetic attempts at movie-izing games, there haven't (to my memory, anyway) been any particularly great games-turned-movies, and I doubt it'll change anytime soon.
