I love that show "what would you do?" on ABC. Seeing people go out of their way to help others is always touching

That and young married couples. There's nothing nicer than seeing a couple who at the peak of their love for each other.
Bit of a depressing thought if I'm at the peak of my love for my boyfriend right now, and I'll only love him less as time passes. ;)

That said, my sister did a psychology course which defined "love" as the emotion experienced by a couple in the first stage of their relationship. After a period of time (she suggested a year) the couple moves on to a stage called "attachment", which has more in common with the bond between a parent and child. Breaking up once you've moved on to the "attachment" stage is meant to be more emotionally difficult than during the "love" stage.

*is not sure where she was going with that*

Moving on.

OT: Today I saw a woman in cycling shorts so tight and so transparent that I could see she was wearing powder blue French knickers in a floral lace, with the label tucked neatly inside. She was fully kitted out for cycling and going at the pedals like a pro. She did not give a flying f**k that anyone in a car behind her would be stuck staring at her arse. She was on the road to cycle, dammit!

You know when people touch their foreheads together as a gesture of affection, usually with their signifiant other?

Well, for some reason I always find that to be profoundly touching. More so than kissing, hugging or any other such gesture. Don't know why, but there you go.
Cats do that too and it's the most adorable thing in the world. Cat headbutts are a bit more hard-hitting though XP

This post is so nice it's making a lurker like me post something.

It's a simple thing, but when I see a child playing or having fun with his/her mother or father. It always make me feel happy. Knowing that there is still this joyful sense of innocence still in the world. It gives me hope.

It makes me so happy when a kid accomplishes something that's a big deal for them. The smile they get from it is priceless.

A cat purring while laying on me makes me so damn happy. Even if i'm in a grumpy mood, it lifts my spirits.

OT: hmm I haven't really seen anything that really made me go "wow", I guess the mars landing was nice?
You know, that video you chose to embed made me watch more Scrubs clips and before I knew it half an hour had been spent watching clips from Scrubs. You have accomplished to spread some happiness around in this thread, congratulations.

Theres a little old couple who live in my town. Every weekend the go out into the big shopping centre in our town, find a place away from everyone else and slowly dance together. For about 30 mins they ignore all questions and voices and just dance with each other in a slow waltz. And then they leave. I dont think ive ever seen anyone have a happier face than either one of those people. Its fantastic. People say they are weird but i love it. Its actually a really nice thing to have around. No one ever tries to stop them. Its just too nice.

Well, a while back there was a Coca Cola commercial:
And this restored some of my faith in humanity. It's a complete feel-good moment.

Well, there are those days. Y'know those days where you walk outside, and the sun is shining, but it's not too hot, and there's a gentle breeze, and everyone is in just that much nicer of a mood, because the weather is just perfect... I like those days, they seem to encourage people to just be nicer to eachother, when you nod or wave or smile at people they don't flip you the finger, they smile back! When you open the door for someone they thank you rather than giving you a weird look.

it means people are actually capable of not being just a collective of assholes, and that givesme hope, that one day when we're all living in climate controlled domes because we've fucked our living environment just that much, that maybe, just maybe, we will all get along just that much better.

I also enjoy when people remember little details about you or things you've said so long ago. Reassures me that most people are genuine and actually care for one another.
I live across the street from the most adorable old couple ever. They're the sweetest people ever. They just had their 50th anniversary.

I run a mini-charity thing for the Salvation army every other fall, and it's nice that every single person I ask prepares a package.

I also just have really good friends. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. I've never had a fair-weather friend, I'm happy to say. They'll mock me every other day, but when I'm down, they go out of their way to cheer me up. Usually by spamming comedic videos.

Seeing my little Shih Tzu and my mom's toy labradoodle[footnote]Think of it as a bit smaller body building poodle. Also, I understand the "toy" part is in there because the poodle part was a toy poodle, but a toy labradoodle is still a medium sized dog! Can be quite confusing.[/footnote] play always warms my heart. It's so cute. :D

I'm happy that this is a video that exists and that I can watch it whenever I want.

Aw, I know that one. It's adorable.

Still, I prefer the song:

That kid reminds me so much of my nephew.

every now and again I just go and take a quick look out my window, especially when the kids outside are being a bit louder, to see what tiny thing they're so excited about this time (in itself a reason why I like living here, moved here recently)

the other day I happened to glance outside right when two of the neighbor boys, no older than 10, just hugged each other.

Made my day.

My son makes me smile every single day. Just walking into his room at 6:30am (he's an early riser) to see him standing in his crib babbling excitedly is the perfect start to a day.

He's a little older now, and definitely has more hair. I'm pretty sure I'm not actually in most of that video either, as my friends were over and he was playing more with them.

At least twice a week I have kids come into my comic and toy store and proclaim that "This is the coolest place ever" :D
