I think it's because the way in which you type has a sort of... voice about it, which gave absolutely no indication that you were female. That's why I was so shocked during Escapism; it was almost as if you were the exact antithesis of who I perceived you to be in real life. In fact, the only thing that convinced me to believe you were a girl was that you had an obsession with your little Cairne Terrier (a creature I can't see a man adoring at all).Ultrajoe said:

The whole thing sounds really interesting. I'm a bit confused by everyone who has gotten really upset if they weren't directly affected.

I thought about not revealing my gender but considering my first thread I didn't have much choice. I usually feel that as long as I'm not overtly feminine (ie. I act like my normal self) nobody cares.

That said, such experiments are actually interesting; I've done something similar a step further/back (matter of perspective). The level of anonymity is great for figuring out all sorts of stuff, and roleplaying a female in a game as a male can be a very interesting way to see the world through the eyes of the opposite sex. Along with that, you don't need to hurt or insult anybody.
Perhaps things like these are the stepping stone to projects that allow (virtual?) temporary sex-changes because no matter what your sexuality is, looking through the eyes of the opposite sex can provide people with a lot of interesting insights.
