Evela had been watching the group for a while now, studying them, making sure they are the group that he had been seeking for. He saw them get onto horses and decided to take the risk.

"He... Hello" Evela said softley to the group, "You may have seen me around. I am here to seek your help." He stopped talking to have a look at everyones face for a few moments, "You see, I have heard that you are the group of warriors sent by the king to kill the gryphons. And i would kindly ask you if i could be of help in anyway."

He paused for a litle bit again, carefully articulating his words. "Im not sure if i should tell you this but i see no other way. I am Brother Evela, and i am currently 200 years old." Another pause, "I was living with the monks for years, before i was blessed with the chance to be one with gyia" He mouthed a quick prayer, "Choosing so made me stronger. And gave me powers like not many others. It gave me the power of gyia." He began to pacearound the goup on their horses. "Gyia has willingly given me her ability for magic" To prove his point he takes off his mask that covers half of his face, revealing a twisted set of tattoos and scars along his face. "This is the mark of the Mage." He pointed towards his disfigured face, "This is to prove that i am telling the truth"

He walks back to the where he started, "As you all should know, magic is forbidden, but i am trying to prove other wise, to not have my brothers killed. I would like to be returned in the kings favour. So i ask of you all, if you could so let me, Allow me to join you on your quest. I can be very helpfull."

<spoiler=OOC>Yay, im joining now... Should i post my character sheet or what?

Ah well... I hope thats good enough for a welcoming paragraph. If you dont like my character i will burn your face off. Then heal it. Then crush it with rocks.

Ra'ive mounted his horse, adjusted the saddle and finally when he was comfortable (as he could be on one of these creatures) he turned to the man that had approached them.

"I'm sorry, the groups already filled to the brim with crazy. Anymore and we might just be locked up" he said as he looked down upon the man, his voice dripping with equal amounts of sarcasm and skepticism. He doubted the mans powers and thought of him just a random crazy that they would have to step around on their way back to Herelden.

Welcome to the group! Dont worry about Ra'ive, he'll warm to you eventually (maybe). Make sure to join our usergroup here

You must be joking.

Ellondra, after she'd climbed into her saddle, stared at the newcomer blankly for several moments. Then she shook her head in disbelief, muttered something about judgement and sanity in regards to the King's advisors, and dug her heels into her horse's flanks to get a start down the road.

Evela watches as they start to take off, leaving him behind. "I am sorry for what i must do now then", He claps his hands together and mutters a quick incantation, ending with "Surging Earth!" Being yelled out loudly. He bends down and slams is hands into the ground.

There is a small rumble felt, small beads of sweat begin to form on Evelas face. He pushes his hands into the ground further to make spikes rise to about the height of 1 meter from the ground infront and around of the leaving group.

He stands back up and wipes the sweat from his brow. "I am sorry for that, but you must either let me go with you, or promise to never speak my name again."

<spoiler=Edited: OOC>Hole crap, i used a spell... And it was awesome. It was just something to make you all not leave. I hope you like it.

Ill join that group now.

EDIT: Well since its late, and i have school in the morn, i shall bid you all a goodnight. Ill be able to post once more before school... Try not to ditch me.

That isn't exactly endearing yourself to us... having random people walk up and say "I wanna come too" is kind of undermining the importance of the mission and the quest. And threatening Skaar will result in only one thing...

"Or slay you now, for your sins." The voice of the Death Knight scratched harshly across their collective consciousness. "Our mark is no blessing, it is a curse, and any who would think otherwise are... Heretics..." He dropped his arm down, the Bonesaw blade forming under his skin, preparing to spike ouwtards through the flesh.

"Has Gyia been rotting your brain these last 200 years or were you just daft before you were blessed! You use forbidden magic in the middle of a Gyia-be-damned city! I'm sure the town watch is mobilizing as we speak to detain us all, but don't worry I'm sure they'll be happy to know all about our secret mission! Why most helpful you are proving to be already."

The growling tone of the sever-elf is only just stifled by him not speaking loud enough for his voice to carry, no need to attract even more attention.

We don't have time for this.

"Make this mess disappear so we are not all arrested and I think we can agree to grant you a few moments outside of town to speak again."

Sorry, not intentionally trying to drive you away. Gyia is not well liked by Vik'nar and he's annoyed at the potential trouble you brought down on them.

"Step back you idiot! You will have us all arrested and burned at the stake!" Ra'ive snarled at Skaar, he could practicaly feel the guards closing in on them.

"And you! Is it your intention to have us arrested? We shall not speak of this here. As my compatriot suggested, meet us outside of the city limits and we may talk" he continued as he switched his icy gaze from Skaar to Evela.

"Yes, I believe so. Now if I remember correctly you walked into town? Luckily, we have one extra steed though. If you want it."

"It would be nice to not have to walk back to Herelden. Thank you." Landon got up on the horse and followed the others.

---

"Are you mad?" Landon said to the stranger who called himself Brother Evela. "Are you trying to kill us or have us killed?"

Right, so I've been bombarded with some of most time consuming assignments I've seen in my life thanks to my incompetent incredibly demonic and cruel teachers, so I'm afraid it might be a day or so until I can find the time to post.

Sorry.

@Jav3: This isn't an invention for you to kill me, just to be clear.

Why the hell everybody and their dog is in-on on the SUPER TOP SECRET MISSION. I mean, Skaar knew about it cause he can read minds... everyone else (excluding the original party members) shouldn't have the slightest inkling of what is going on...

I think Lambi and Nukey's characters know because they were specifically hired by the king to help but I dont know how Evela knows about the mission. Perhaps it shall be revealed later? Btw Jav3lin asked if we could keep OoC to a minimum and thats why the user group was created, could you use it please? Just so we can keep the thread focused on the RP

Evela looks around at the carnage he had caused, incants another spell and yells "Surging Earth!" again, slamming his hands into the ground for a second time, Causing the newly made spikes to dissapear. He puts his mask back on over his deformed side of his face and speaks to them again, "Once again I am sorry, but I had to do that. You all could not leave. My wish was not to harm, but you wouldnt listen to me normally. So I took drastic measures."

He sees Skaar start to draw his blade on him, before he can even get close enough for him to strike, he claps again, raising his hands infront of his face yelling "Protect!", forming bright green shields to appear before his hands.

"These are the will of Gyia, we will not fight. I will take you up on your offer to meet outside the city. If you do not stay, never speak of my name again. Or i will bring Gyia's revenge on you all. I bid you good day, and will see you outside soon." He raises his hands and the barrier's begin to shrink. When they are gone, he apologises once more before leaving.

Once Evela had left and Ellondra had managed to steady her horse from the absolute shock of the ground rising up beneath it, she turned to the rest of the party.

"This is preposterous!" For once the woman was more or less in complete agreement with both Skaar and Ra'ive at the same time, "If t'were up to me, I'd not have any of you... stragglers slowing down our travels... But as it stands, I cannot prevent any of you from riding your mounts in the same blasted direction as mine, so refusing your company becomes a moot point. If this third mongrel wishes to follow behind, I shall pretend to know nothing of it until I've addressed King Herald."

Her stallion reared up under the agitated guidance of its rider and hit the road to Herelden at a gallop; they were losing time.

Skaar grunted in agreement and whispered a psychic command to his steed, sending the beast rearing up before galloping off after the Sergeant. Leaning forwards in his saddle, he sent out a sibilant pyschic broadcast to the other members of the party, not entering their minds so much as sending them a message; if they wished to hear it, they would. If not, they wouldn't. "I want to know how a fething MONK learned of this quest, and why he has sought us out. If he knew we were leaving the mountains, then he'd have known we had finished the task... why would a Magi offer assistance when the deed has been done, and risk execution by revealing himself infront of the entire city? It is... suspicious, to say the least."

Vik'nar skips on rearing his mount up and simply cracks the reins to ride out of town.

Yes most suspicious, now get out of my head. He thinks to Skaar.

There'd be no lengthly discussion of food during their travel, for the time being at least. Vik'nar had much to mull over and he hoped San'tar could shed some light on the situation when they'd returned to Herelden. His information network was strongest there.

His time in Swaere hadn't been a complete wash though. He spared a glance towards Ellondra and Ra'ive. The memory of leaping through the roof with Ra'ive swims through his head first and he touches the bandages where Ellondra had patched him up. Vik'nar cracked a smile despite having been quite agitated a few minutes before.

As the group exits Swaere, all the chatter of people and the laughter of children fades from their ears, and only the sweet tone of the summer wind and the bright golden sun shines upon them.

The treeline of Flemwood was in sight and it stretched before them like a neverending line of green and beauty.
But within it, there was both beauty and danger lingering about, waiting and praying on those less fortunate.

Coming from the forest line was a line of atleast twenty men, all riding on horses and all very well equipped with swords, spears, bows and shields bearing the crests of Herelden, Wesburg and Riverbank.

As the group came into earshot of the party of horseriders, they called out:
"Ho there!"
In a friendly tone, as their leader trotted towards Ellondra in a graceful and non-threatening manner with his weapons sheathed.
