Evela jumped back, trying to get some distance between him and the man. As he jumped back he started a chant, as he landed, he skidded a few feet in the ground, and then purposely fell forward, never breaking his chant.

As he hit the ground, he turned to his side and called out "Surging Earth!" and clapped his hands, then slamming them straight into the ground. The spell he had chosen, was supposed to made a sink hole around the armored man, to try and bury him at the least up to his knees in the surrounding ground.

As the wagon closed in Myrdion managed to vault to the side and gained an offensive position where he stood.
Getting tired of the runts attacking him, he grabbed hold of the leather lace on his weapon and managed to create an axe-flail out of his right hand weapon.

Seeing Evela making a chant, he decided to focus his attacks on him as he would pose the highest threat.
Swinging his right hand weapon in a front cone, he made his way toward Evela to stop the chanting and finish him off.

Ra'ive looked up from the body of a felled Goblin, he had been retrieving at least some of the many throwing knives he had thrown when he had 'started work' and had dismissed the heavily plated thicko charging around, as an easy target for the others. He pocketed the last knife and watched as the large man charged towards Evela, swinging his axes as he went.

He was placed roughly halfway between them and the haunting realization came to him, that he had to get in its way. Sure he could dance around its clumsy blows with ease but if even one contacted him it would be the end.

Not a sunny prospect.

He stood from the corpse and rotated his neck, hearing the joints crack and pop. He didnt perform his usual mental countdown and simply charged, running up the wagon he had hidden behind previously and jumping into the air, letting fly a dagger mid-air.

The dagger hit its target, not his huge plated foe but rather the floor next to him, clanging off a conveniently placed stone and even sparking slightly, drawing the mans attention to the right and away from Ra'ive for a moment.

The mans head turned towards the 'bright flashy thing' as he continued charging and he didn't spot Ra'ive silently flying towards him.

He touched down silently behind the lumbering brute and immediately crouched, aimed and slid his solo blade through with the join at the small of the mans back with extreme vigour, hoping that perhaps it could weedle its way past the chain mail somehow.

He could only hope

With the stinging sensation in his back, the man went into a furious rage as he plummeted his right hand weapon into the ground next to Rai've with a swing.
His left hand axe, still stable in his hand went toward his head with a side-way swing.

It missed, but caused Rai've to stumble before he could regain proper footing.
"Is that all you got?! Herald must have sent you whelps! HAH!"
The man was eagerly amused and it lowered his rage slightly.
However, all this moving about was tiring and he was sweating vigorously under his helmet.
It had begun clouding his sight and so he swung three times wildly at Rai've with his right hand weapon before tossing it quickly behind him, fearing another behind attack.

With a free hand, he picked up his helmet from his head and threw it toward Ra'ive.
"Come on then! I'll break your bones to dust! ARGH!"
His face was a mixture of sweat and saliva and his whole head was red and shining with blood. He was on a battle rage and felt nothing but the desire to end his opponents.
With only one remaining weapon, he grabbed it with both hands and prepared for a full-on assault swing.

"Good-Gyia you're ugly! How many blows to the face have you taken?" said Ra'ive as the man prepared a mighty swing, he was trying to anger the man further, diminish his judgement and impair his ability for rational thought. With the helmet off he could easily finish the man, a stab to the eye or temple would do it... He could end it right here!

The axe came sailing through the air and impacted the ground with a mighty crash, Ra'ive having rolled away from the axe at just the right moment.

"Ugly and stupid, a potent combination"

He awaited the reprisal, seemingly dancing on the spot, his legs seeming loose but in reality being as tense as a compressed spring and he let the adrenaline slow the world, letting him analyse every detail on the brute before him, allowing him to read the man as if his (scarce) thoughts were displayed on his forehead.

Acento watched Ra'ive and the new foe fighting, not sure whether to jump in or if he would just get in the way

"ummm.... need any help Ra'ive?"

"No we're doing great, aren't we beardy?" said Ra'ive narrowly avoiding another swing from the axe, if Ra'ive's mask weren't on, Acento would see a face of exasperation at being asked such a foolish question.

"OF COURSE I NEED SOME GYIA-DAMNED HELP!"

With Rai've momenteraly subtracted from the battle, Myrdion bashed his axe into Rai've sending him flying off his feet.
"Get up and fight you incolent whelp!"
He called out as he opened his arms, embracing a fight.

"Is that all you and your Gyia-loving compadre's have? Oh come on!"
Myrdion showed threats like nothing, but he was getting exhausted.
"Well, I've got a new trick for you! HAH!"
Closing his eyes, he looked down and his body was completely still. He had dropped his axe on the ground and clapped his hands together as he began a slight chant.

"Let's see you dance around now!"
He finally broke the chant as he called out. He picked up his axe and now his eyes were glowing red and there was a red mist pulsing out from under his armor.
As he moved his movement was fast and fluid. It was faster than any man could sprint and he was swinging his axe wildly around.

Ellondra dashed in behind the gloating behemoth to strike at the ties holding his plate to his body; she had mere meters left to close, both hands on the hilt of her blade as she swung wide to cut.

"Let's see you dance around now!"

The mist pulsed out from his skin--it oozed from the armor into the open air. The metal glanced off of his back like nothing. Leaping backward, she avoided his wild swings narrowly but had to regroup her thoughts. How could he move like this, like a serpent?! Magic...? Was he impervious?

No. It's just a trick. He's moving the same: the same wide swings, the same overzealous strength. It was merely quicker. She'd have to be quicker as well.

The big man was still focused on Ra'ive, and she feared the Elf had little room left in which to retreat. The Sergeant's footing was sure: she lunged forward. The axe swung overhead and she twisted back to avoid it, rolling beneath the next blow until she was close enough behind him to see distinctly her reflection in his leg armor.

She struck at the back of his knees with as much force as she could muster in such close quarters.

Vik'nar tried to mask his frustration, but the giant armored man was far more spry on his feet than he'd anticipated and now he was moving faster than those Gyia be damned goblins could.

As Ellondra began her whirling assault, he spilled out his last vial of Black Lotus poison unto a pair of daggers. It was the same poison that had slowed the great Griffin Mother, he just had to wait for an opportunity to use it...

Now!

His mind rang out sensing the opportunity. It seemed the Sergeant had similar plans in slowing him down. So while she rolled under to strike out at his knees, Vik'nar moved in at an opposite angle. He swung for the man's exposed neck and angled his other blow to stab up and into the armpit where even the most finely reticulated plate armor had to have gaps.

The man was flanked on two sides facing three separate strikes for various angles, one of them just had to land, he thought to himself.

The man knelt down as his axe swung through the air fluidly in a random direction. He had lost all of his momentum at once, sending everything from his balance to his weapon to deminish.
From where he knelt down, it would appear that he had been beaten.

"Hahahahahahaa.... HAHAHAHAHAH! You pitiful whelps! Ha-argh!"
He felt the full of the pain in his back now and he could feel the surge of poison flowing through his veins.
Coughing up blood and his eyes leaking blood he looked up into the skies.
"Master. They prove a worthy challenge..... Yes master.."
Myrdion let his head fall down, only supported by the weight of his shoulders.
It looked like he was at peace as he just knelt there.
"I will see you all ... soon enough.."
He chuckled slightly and closed his eyes.

She stood poised to strike, her confusion showing on her face. Was he dead...? Or mocking them?

With a shout of frustration, she hacked the falchion into the large man's neck until his blasted head rolled across the cobbles.

"This makes no sense--Goblins. Sorcery. How has it infiltrated this land? Do you expect me to believe they sailed a boat around the Gyia-damned continent to land here?"

Evela looked at the Gyia forsaking creature. He wished he could have been for more use, but he still felt the effects of trying to save he town and from trying to take out half an army. He fell to his knees, but willed himself to stay standing. Breathing through quick breaths, he tried to answer Ellondra, "That is no magic I have seen. But if they can do magic, I don't see how sailing a boat would be much of a challenge" he laughed quietly, before stopping suddenly, it hurt to laugh.

He coughed up a small amount of blood, and whispered to himself, "Oh dear"

"I had that perfectly under control you know" joked Ra'ive as he stood from the floor and brushed himself off, on his right arm was a large gash that slowly bled, but otherwise he was fine.

Ignoring the sharp pain in his upper arm, he walked to the corpse of their felled foe and studied it closely, what kind of forbidden magics had been employed here to make it so fast? Ra'ive had only just been able to out manoeuvre the brute but if Ellondra had not intervened, it would most likely be his head rolling along the ground.

He knelt next to the corpse and looked as if her were to begin searching it, but he paused and looked up to Ellondra.

"Thanks" he muttered gratefully, before turning his attention to the beast infront of him, searching the cooling corpse for information, clues or just a bit of coin, it didn't particularly matter to him aslong as that thing stayed dead,

Acento took off his hemet and sat down, leaning against a wall. He sat there for a while before pulling himself up and setting off, looking for anything of use he could salvage.

After a while he entered one of houses (or rather what was left of it). He looked around, finding a few small daggers " maybe Vik'nar or Ra'ive can use these he thought and put them in his bag. He was about to leave when he noticed something. one of the stones that made up a mantelpiece was loose,Acento pulled it, revealing a hollow space. He reached inside, pulling out a small, leather pouch. Inside he found a few small pieces of black rock. He hesitated before putting it in his bag and leaving.

The Sergeant gave Ra'ive a curt nod in acknowledgement; his wounds did not escape her notice. Evela's may have. One couldn't be sure. Ellondra cleaned her blade efficiently and sheathed it, leaving the task of looting to the Elf and allowing the others to rest.

"I'm going to gather survivors, if... If at all possible."

And she left them with the body to search the gate for what human militia had refused to perish, and the houses and shops for townsfolk who had escaped massacre.

One of the dying farmers still grasping a sword managed to gurgle up some blood as he tried to get some attention.
"Are... are they safe? We evacuated the civilians with the remainder of ships from the docks"
The man coughed up more blood as he raised his hand as high as he could.
"...Did, did they make it out safely?"

"Whats this then?" muttered Ra'ive as he retrieved the chain from the bloody stump, that was formerly their foes neck. It was a made of a cheap bronze and would have just been disregarded as junk if not for the ring that hung from it. It was made of a strange metal, possibly the same one used on the brutes armour but he couldn't know for sure.

Emblazoned on it was an emblem of a skull... Wait no a helmet but not like any helmet Ra'ive had ever seen, perhaps it was a very old one? He slung the chain around his neck, so that it dangled in full view on his chest, he'd get Evela to take a look at it later but for now he continued to rummage.

He didn't find much else on the man, just a small pouch containing some herbs he recognised were used in healing but others were unknown to him, again he would approach the others with it later, though he doubted they would have answers.

Vik'nar held no interest in picking over the dead nor especially looting houses. He'd certainly stolen before when it was needed, but this hardly seemed a necessity and it would likely hinder those looking to rebuilt what the fire and goblins had claimed.

"So you'll rush to their aid in battle, but pick over the belongs they died for afterwards?"

He called to Acento as he left the house his bag hanging in one hand and looking a little fatter. Despite its nature the statement wasn't meant as a challenge, as he was already walking away down towards the gate, leaving the man to mull his own conscience for the answer to that paradox.

"I only take what they wont need or wont return to claim" He yelled at Vik'nar as he walked away. He felt a pang of guilt and annoyance, Vik'nar thought highly of himself it seemed.
