Just sucking at it enough without getting caught then instead of openly sucking and making the lp longer.MintyFreshBreathGuy said:Personally I don't trust Youtube, but that's just my opinion. Second if you read the rules, then you'll remember I said that you can't be doing nothing even if you're utterly bad at the game. Mistakes happen of course, but unless it's horribly designed then the person isn't going to go through a hell of a time figuring everything out. RULE 2 IS GOING TO BE CHANGED DUE TO YOUTUBE BEING UNRELIABLE. BUT I HAVEN'T FOUND A GOOD SITE YET. IF ANYONE CAN RECOMMEND A SITE IT WILL SPEED UP THIS PROCESS A BIT!
IT WOULD ALSO HELP IF PEOPLE COULD SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS IDEA I HAD.
THANK YOU AND HAVE A NICE DAY!
But I still don't quite get the competition here, I mean you're trying to make the longest lp here, wouldn't the winner be the one who plays a long game while playing it badly with a lot of mistakes?
You make a good point, I did already think of a short lp but I just didn't like the idea as much, much less the fact I like to do things differently. This probably wasn't going to happen anyway I was just asking what people thought of the idea. I could have a rule saying that you need to play the game blind. Now anyone could make mistakes. But thanks anyway for pointing these things out nice insight... if that's the right word.Zakyrn said:Just sucking at it enough without getting caught then instead of openly sucking and making the lp longer.MintyFreshBreathGuy said:Personally I don't trust Youtube, but that's just my opinion. The problem is that you define the challenge by making the longest lp of a game of your choice which seems to be pretty much as challenging as holding your breath the shortest. You can't make a challenge of a game and do the opposite of what's hard, and then try to justify the challenge by adding a rule that you can't do what you're supposed to do so much you'll actually notice it.
For Contra you'd probably use an emulator with savestates, so you just need to make a savestate at the beginning of a level.Halo Fanboy said:If you play something like contra is it okay if you die and have to restart the game?
True I agree with the unfunny part and that it might not end well. But also note that I never said this would happen. I'm just asking for opinions. Though thank you for telling me where Lets Plays started. I know it sounds pathetic to being talking about this thing, when I don't even know where it came from. Either way I'm just asking for opinions.not a zaar said:This might not end well. Let's Play started off on the SA forums, and the concept got so annoying that they had to create a whole new subforum just to keep the posters away from the gaming discussion. Also most of them were horribly unfunny.
