Thankfully, he's finally understood that the game isn't all about him. He's playing a more stealth oriented class now, which is what he was GOING to make in the beginning before he went banana shit crazy with his min/maxing. He's not Captain Do-Everything anymore, and he's finally resided himself to his stealth/DPS/Skill role that he's supposed to have been all along.AdamRBi said:Giant Turtles. Talk to the DM and ask for more complicated encounters. Nothing ruins a blademaster's day like something he can't cut.
Say, every time you attack the creature pulls into it's shell. This means that the only way to attack it is to stun it while it's attacking or to flip it. Your friend's character sounds like a swift swordsman, he can maybe get one attack in before the creature attacks, but that's highly risky on his part.
Your DM can take creative measures around this, but if you want to pull something try a scheme of your own to where your character inadvertently separates the group or develops a debilitating allergy to daggers.
Are you familiar with 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons? Because things like a Giant Turtle wouldn't really be a challenge for ANYONE. There really isn't anything that just plain ignores damage reliably. The most common types of Damage Reduction are specialized to certain types of damage or elements.
