That sounds like a horrible idea. The execution is all wrong. Besides, if you're going to 'except' that you won't be getting your updates, then move on to the PC version; That's what I did.

It sucks that you're not getting what was promised but your methodology is somewhat insulting to us PC players.

Wait until the engie update comes out at least. They have said that they were thinking about releasing all of them out at once.

I like to think that between their being no updates on the xbox for TF2 and no half life episode 3 that valve has been taken over by one of their own creations, i'm betting one of those many headcrabs got onto the head of Gabe Newell.

I personally don't think this is the way to get them to do anything, the only way you can speak to them is by voting with your wallet. To be honest lets face it, that will never work either.

I don't think spamming his inbox is going to help you get free stuff; he's not Santa Claus.

As much as I hate Valve for not getting around to ACTUALLY RELEASING THE DAMN CONTENT, even this won't work probably. I say just move onto games that do get updates (hopefully) like L4D2.

This site is so pro-valve there is no chance in hell of this succeeding. However, if no HL2;E3 news is released in a year or two, be ready.

I'm not thinking it would happen, while upgrades for TF2 would increase it's usage over Xbox live, the community is exponentially larger on the PC.
I use to play it, but the only people I ever played with were snipers, made traversing the battlefield very difficult. And nobody on my team would help me out.

This won't work. Ever. My theory is that [sub]VALV[/sub]e will release HL2 Ep.3 and the TF2 360 updates when Source 2.0 (or whatever) comes out.

This is a bloody stupid idea. Please stop being such a dumbass N00B and buy the PC version.

EDIT: Sorry if I came off as a bit of a tosser, but, you don't need a incredibly high-end PC to run most [sub]VALV[/sub]e games. Those new Toshiba Satellite lappys run games beautifully and come with about 300[sub]GB[/sub] of memory.

Wow. Obviously Valve favors the PC crowd? All of the things Valve had promised were done, just on the PC version. Spamming isn't going to change Valve's mind.

You want to know what also's not fair? Having to pay Microsoft of all companies to play online. After all, we all know that after choosing to buy their console out of all the other ones, we want to be rewarded by paying extra. Also, TF2 is sending the updates to the 360, you just have to pay for them. Yay! Thank you Microsoft! I always wanted to have my loyalty rewarded with a kick in the balls.
Face it, you're already getting screwed on the 360. The fact that you haven't gotten the option to pay the company more yet isn't really that big a deal. Stop complaining.

I could be wrong about this, but I thought I'd heard more than once that the issue with the updates was on Microsoft's end, not Valve's. Is that untrue? And if it is true, what good would this incredibly ridiculous "plan" of yours accomplish?

Note: I'm not saying you'd do any good if Valve was responsible, mind you. This idea is right up there with signing an online petition for complete wastes of time. But still, I'm not even sure you have your targetting calibrated correctly.

I don't remember the exact price, but I think the most basic model is about $400, not sure though. Let me tell you, that little machine can run a Hell of a lot of stuff without breaking a sweat. (Win7 included, by the way.)

well I play on the 360 but when my time runs out im just gonna spend the money that would go to xbox live and buy Team Fortress 2 on steam.

after I get steam working of course.

Im not that bothered by the problems, I really get the feeling that valve doesnt care about the fans, everybody seems to think they do, but really where is the avoidance?
