So i was walking down the street when out the corner of my eye i saw a pretty lil' sorry.
As i was saying - i was walking down the street and musing on how a 3D platformer genre could be reinvented. But this isn't going about to be 3D platformers, because i've had a much more specific idea in the process. You, the reader, may or may not know that Sony's new motion controller, Move, is very precise, some even say it's "1-to-1 precise". I've thought up a gameplay concept that could make great use of this.
Imagine a game where you are playing as a powerful telekinetic. Maybe your character is the latest attempt in the creation of supersoldier. He could be loyal to his initial creators, or rebel against them, or both throughout the storyline - it does not really matter. You don't need any guns in this game - your powers are more than sufficent to deflect clouds of bullets and wipe out entire platoons of enemies. With motion controls you can create shockwaves in any direction, throw stuff at enemies, grab them and smack them into nearby walls, and so on. And there's an advanced animation/physics engine (like GTA4's Euphoria) responsible for the realistic behavior of objects you abuse in various ways.
So what do you think, Escapists? Would you play that?
[small]And oh... for some inexplicable reason, i find "No Rest For The Wicked" and it's music video quite funny. Perhaps it's the accent. Or the fact that the singer is walking funny every now and then.[/small]
