I played WoW for about three years, and got bored of it, like...extremely bored of it.
Any good MMO's you guys can recommend?
(It doesn't matter if it's P2P or not, just as long as it's good.)
I'm thinking of getting Star Trek Online, I played to demo and really enjoyed it.
Star Trek Online is decent but becomes repetitive very quickly despite some interesting game design ideas.
I haven't played it much, I was in in Beta, and made an attempt to play it again earlier this month to see if it had shaped up. While it's no longer the mess it was coming out of Beta (which is what most games are like), I will say that it desperatly needs more content, also the developers have gotten quite greedy with it. In addition to buying the game and paying a subscription they pretty much charge you $25 to max out your character. As you advance levels you gain new ranks (a new rank every 10 levels), at each rank you get to captain a new tier of Starship. The final tier though is only availible through their cash shop and winds up costing you $25. That kind of poisoned me against it once I understood it.
Sadly I had a bunch of Cryptic points I bought on a whim when I got my lifetime membership for Champions Online (which didn't pan out as well as I hoped), I spent them on STO before I really understood the whole "Galaxy X" thing and the way it worked with the game.
Pretty much all the cash shop stuff isn't all that nessicary, but unless they add free "final tier" ships that are comparable the one in the cash shop is if you really want to do the end game.

I still play World Of Warcraft, though mostly to raid with my guild (dedicated to 10 man raids). I understand your burn out, but it still interests me somewhat.
Generally speaking World Of Warcraft really is the best game out there quality wise, despite all the criticisms. Pretty much all the other games I've experimented with have turned out to be a disappointment. As I always point out comparing an MMO to what Warcraft was like when it first started doesn't much matter because they aren't competing with Warcraft when it first started but what it is now. I have no desire to invest hundreds of dollars in subscriptions and god knows how many hours hoping that they will add more content and improve the game.
Right now I am looking at DC Universe, and Old Republic Online. The latter seems like it will be awesome, though it's 8 months away (and I need to actually see more of the game itself before I make any major judgements), the former game (DC) is a virtual unknown to me despite a few trailers, back when it started development "Champions Online" looked like it was a better game with more solid ideas despite the lack of a big name liscence, however as I said it didn't pan out. DC Universe is an outside possibility if they stop playing the cards so close to their chest and sell me on the game play.
The bottom line is that I've tried more MMORPGs that I'd like to admit. EVE, Fallen Earth, STO, Champions Online, Lord Of The Rings Online, Anarchy Online, and others. Right now the only one worth paying for quality wise is World Of Warcraft in my opinion, and if your too bored to get any enjoyment from that I'd simply wait for the next generation of games in development to come out rather than wasting the money.
This is purely an opinion though.
