Some may remember speed runs in Goldeneye 64 in the Facility, trying for some ungodly time like 2:05. How many people did you shoot? 1 maybe, because he was in the way?
I've cut down on the number of things I need to play Crysis, one of my favorite single player experiences, until I beat the game without any weapons usage at all (besides required by objective). This has been done in a couple of stealth games ala Deus Ex HR or Dishonored, but it's been hard to get momentum going in an action game without player-side violence.
Mirror's Edge did a fine job, but I'd like to see more action games where violence is strictly optional (as opposed to being relegated only to those looking for an extreme challenge).

I've been doing this ever since additional follower mods started coming out. It's lots of fun, especially in New Vegas where Speech is probably the first stat you should raise (seriously it's like a diplomatic embargo between all the factions of the wasteland). Unless you're on hardcore with essential turned off (followers can die) however it becomes kind of unrealistic because your followers are either too powerful/overgeared or invincible.Zeldias said:A student of mine told me he played through New Vegas entirely relying on Charisma and followers. He basically talked his way out of most things, and if he couldn't talk his way out, he ran and let his followers fight for him.
