MW2 is probably one of my favorite online shooters. The feeling of panic I get when the announcer says "Enemy AC-130 spotted!" and scrambling for cover is unparalleled

Black Ops had some good ideas but it was let down by a noisy campaign, bad programming, and a general feeling of blandness. I like that it had a lot of interesting weapons. Any game that offers a lot of weapon variety besides AK-47's and M4's gets a plus in my book.

I don't hate CoD. I played every CoD except Black Ops. Well, I played it at my friend's house. I basically liked every CoD campaign. It's multiplayer that I have a problem with. And not every multiplayer, just MW2 and Blops. MW2 MP was really bad. Unbalanced, no dedicated servers and whatnot. So when I think about it, I only had two bad experiences with CoD. Sure CoD is not a perfect game, but it's not bad at what it does. It's a simple and fun shooter. I hope MW3 will be better than MW2. It shouldn't be too hard to accomplish that considering all the suck MW2 was.

call of duty, i've played 1 and its expansions, MW, MW2, and black ops, call of duty has been my bread and butter shooter, nothing too special anymore, but nothing wrong with it, and i genuinly enjoy these games

The thing is, even though you said your not a fan of multiplayer much, go play modern warfare 1 online for, let's say, 10 hours, then go and play modern warfare 2 for 10 hours. You will find MW 1 the much better game. Though I actually played MW2 for a while, the multiplayer was awful. The campaign was good, but way to short. As for WaW, the only good thing about that really was zombies. I love cod, but only up to WaW, because after that they seemed to drive away from any unique gameplay or deliver what the fans want, and instead only care about the products being sold. Of course, they are a company and there main objective is to sell, but I think they are just neglecting what a lot of people say they want.

I dont really have anything against cod but for 2 things:

1) it puts far too much focus on the multi player over the single player i feel and i dont play online a whole lot so theres not a huge amount of point in me getting the games.

2) Zombies if far too addictively fun to be legal! But im not buying the game just for that.

Well theres the fans too, like with halo, i find the cod diehard fans to be on a level of stupid as twihards...

I really like COD4 and I still think it stands up as one of the best told stories in an FPS to this date, and although I never played WAW I really liked the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer despite all the problems it had with balance and glitches. I bough Black Ops and played it through one prestige before I got tired of it.
