A Tale of Truths Told

A meddling mind, trapped in everlasting thought, dreadful doubt

A helpless heart, given hope, giving itself in return

A searching soul, naive, new, impressionable to a willful world

Living in moments unforgettable

Having faith in unfathomable feelings

Dreaming of a destiny, a destination, one determined to follow

Wishing for wisdom to take action, to create motion from within myself

A permanent passion, secured, waiting to be sent

The poem unwritten with a wonderful word

The song unsung with a beautiful meaning

The story untold with eccentric ears, listening

A time, stopped, when with you

A day, not passed, without thinking of you

A second, not spent, wondering if you would too

Second glance, second guessing, a corruptible confidence not shown

Eyes meet, intentions unclear, reasoning unfounded, a simple gesture made difficult

A choice then made easy, to live a livid lie of false expressions self-inflicted

Or, to tell a tale?

A tale of truths told

you can leave comments, don't be shy!

I know it might not be a professional poem, but why not?

You see, I'm scared.
Your unnerving stare just lying there making sure I am aware that everything I love and care for will leave me, like the poor sap I am.

Don't you see? I'm happy now!
With silenced "wows" You ask me how I'm getting on without her now? I drop my head into a bow, but give you no useful information

I think you know this isn't true
But if I'm me and you're you and I'm the strongest of the two why's it all you ever do is stand there? What are you waiting for?

You're smart enough to get this right
You and me, we always fight back at each other through the night like we have some kind of birthright to this when we both know what happened.

It's not that bad I'm used to this.
You try to twist against my wrist the symbol of your crucifix asking me not to resist as you take the last of my dignity.

And the chorus swells
You're in first class hell with your southern belle but no one else but me can tell so excuse me I have the need to yell

Your secret is safe with me

A time, stopped, when with you

A day, not passed, without thinking of you

more this less ramble...

People that took a lit class, would probably read this wrong, don't put so many comas in there.

My guess the poem is about a girl, that your thinking about ever since you laid eyes on her, but you never actual talked to her. That kind of glance you get from a girl across the classroom , but don't know how to proceed kind of ordeal, that's the feeling I think you are trying to get across or that's how I'm reading the poem.

Would be cool if you started the poem with A tale of truths to be told.

thanks for the idea, I'll do that!

A little personal, but I do actually talk to her often. It is mostly about us talking and seeing each other but not knowing if she feels the same as I do.

And the commas are actually appropriate for how it is suppose to be read.
