[HEADING=2]Story:[/HEADING] Set on New Year's Eve of 1970, ten years after the events of BioShock, Rapture is now under the control of a woman named Sofia Lamb, whose ideas of human progression contrasts with the city's deceased founder, Andrew Ryan. While Ryan believed in the genius of the individual, Lamb believes in collective effort and the power of the community, as well as a philosophy surrounding butterfly imagery, indicating some kind of rebirth. This message is spread by a deranged ex-priest named Father Wales, who has created a cult-like religion around Sofia. During Sofia's rule, a mysterious figure known as the Big Sister, an ex-little sister outfitted with Big Daddy armor, harbored herself in Rapture, capturing little girls across the coastline to turn them into Little Sisters. Now, the original Big Sister has disappeared, and the remaining Big Sisters are employed by Sofia to keep order in the city.

[HEADING=2]Characters:[/HEADING]
[HEADING=1]Subject Delta[/HEADING]

[small]Final Concept Art of Subject Delta[/small]

In Bioshock 2 you play as the original Big Daddy, created by the collective minds of Rapturian scientist. This Big Daddy was the prototype that all the other Big daddies were based on. As a prototype he was given the exception of being able to use plasmids and tonics, a trait that makes him a rarity in Rapture. As it happens, you have slept through the events that transpired during the first Bioshock and your conditioning wore off long ago. In this game you are being guided by the familiar voice of Dr. Tenenbaum, who implores you to help her liberate the Little Sisters. Delta also was the first Big Daddy ever to be bonded to a little sister.
[HEADING=1]Eleanor Lamb[/HEADING]

[small]Eleanor leaving a gift for Delta[/small]

Eleanor Lamb, daughter to Sofia Lamb, was the first Little Sister successfully bonded to a Big Daddy, the Big Daddy in question being Subject Delta. After 10 years, Eleanor grew up without her Big Daddy and one of the many mysteries that is yet to be resolved is what happened to them before Bioshock 2. In general not much is known about Eleanor aside speculation and some of that speculation revolves around the possibility that she could be a Big Sister now.
[HEADING=1]Bridgette Tenenbaum[/HEADING]

[small]Dr.Tenenbaum as we remember her in the original[/small]

Dr.Tenenbaum is back to take up her role in this sequel. For the uninitiated or if you have forgotten, Tenenbaum is the mastermind behind the little sisters in Rapture. She wanted the little sisters to have normal lives in the world above which Jack (protagonist of the original game) made happen, but with the latest appearance of the Big Sister she is filled with remorse and has many secrets that have yet to be uncovered.
[HEADING=1]Sofia Lamb[/HEADING]

[small]Dr. Sofia Lamb M.D, Ph.D[/small]

Dr.Sofia Lamb, the main antagonist in the game was a political rival of Andrew Ryan, she never shared his views of objectivism. She is an altruist who feels that everyone has a duty to the world, and has taken over Rapture which she rules with an iron fist.
[HEADING=1]Little Sister[/HEADING]

[small]a Little Sister from Bioshock 1[/small]
Much like the original, the Little Sisters are young girls who have been genetically altered and mentally conditioned to reclaim ADAM from the dead around Rapture. After the events of the original game however the Big Sister has abducted little girls from the surface world to turn into new Little Sisters. These Little Sisters will play the same role they did in the first game, except for the fact that they will warn you when the Big Sister approaches.
[HEADING=1]Big Sisters[/HEADING]

[small]Final concept of the Big Sister[/small]

It has been confirmed that there are multiple Big Sisters in the game. These Big Sisters are post-pubescent Little Sisters that have become unstable in Rapture's environment. They wear diving suits reminiscent of those of a Big Daddy's, but they have a distinct aesthetic since they are assembled from scavenged items rather than being manufactured, most likely in attempt to resemble the 'strong father figures' in the Big Daddies that they grew up with.

Big Sisters are formidable beings that are known for their agility and their seven foot tall appearances. They wield huge, wrist-mounted needles on their left arms, which are used primarily for melee attacks and extracting ADAM in a manner similar to a Little Sister's extracting needle. The Big Sisters' designs are geared towards accommodating Little Sisters; they have a cage-like basket that is adorned with ribbons, which is used to safely carry Little Sisters on their backs, and childish doodles can be seen on their oxygen tanks.
[HEADING=1]Father Wales[/HEADING]

[small]Best beard of 1970[/small]

Father Wales is Dr.Lamb's chief zealot, he spreads the beliefs of lamb's religion "The Rapture Family" in a simple way that most Rapturians can understand and follow.
[HEADING=1]Augustus Sinclair[/HEADING]

[small]Augustus Sinclair as his in-game model appears[/small]
Augustus Sinclair was one of the key figures in Rapture's science community, as well as an important business figure. His business, Sinclair Solutions, was one of the most important plasmid researching companies in Rapture, and he is a significant character in BioShock 2.

Subject Delta possesses superior speed and intelligence compared to other Big Daddies, as well as free will. Also as a Big Daddy, players are entitled to use the drill and rivet gun as weapons along with other melee and ranged items found across Rapture. Like the first game the weapons in Bioshock 2 will feature several types of ammo, and in contrast to other Big Daddies, the player may also use plasmids to attack and defend (upgrade trees will provide unique ways to upgrade collected plasmids). A new feature added in this title is the ability to dual-wield plasmids and weapons at the same time. Further Big Daddy abilities found in the first game, such as performing a shoulder dash, will also be an option.

The player will also be able to step outside the city of Rapture into the ocean due to the diving suit they wear. Here the player can explore the ocean floor, recover from fights, marvel at the city from the outside and pick up special items. As seen by the demo, some of the special items include first aid kits, EVE Hypos, and special sea slugs. These sea slugs create ADAM, (the genetic material for the production of Plasmids). One of the game's major enemies is the Big Sister, a Little Sister-Big Daddy hybrid. Unlike the Big Daddies, she is extremely quick and arguably more powerful, able to extract ADAM from her enemies through a harvesting needle, straight into her bloodstream, which fuels telekinetic abilities beyond anything previously thought possible.

As a rogue Big Daddy, players will attempt to capture the Little Sisters from other Big Daddies who roam Rapture. Once a Little Sister is caught, the player will again have the option of choosing the fate of the Little Sisters. Harvesting remains a possibility in order to gain more ADAM, but rather than rescuing the Little Sister, players will instead be allowed to adopt them. With this option, Little Sisters will ride around with the player's Big Daddy, and will look for ADAM to harvest from corpses; in a manner similar to the proving grounds area of the first game, the player will then need to ensure that Splicers will not harm the Little Sister as the harvesting process takes place. The Splicers will not damage the Little Sister, but will delay the process of gathering the ADAM. This will prolong the time it takes for the little sister to gather ADAM, allowing more splicers to attack the player and the Little Sister. Rescuing, while not initially an option for the player, will become available at some point in the game.

[HEADING=2]Player Attributes[/HEADING]
- A flashlight is built into Subject Delta's suit, and this handy tool will turn on and off automatically as needed, allowing the player to investigate even the darkest hallway or corner with ease

- To add to the immersive experience, the player will be able to look down and see their character's feet, or look into mirrors or puddles of water to see themselves as they appear in the game

- Delta's suit allows him to survive the pressure of the ocean, enabling him to walk outside of Rapture to progress, explore, take a breather from the action within and even harvest ADAM-yielding sea slugs on the ocean floor

- When injured a great deal, all sounds heard will become muffled until the damage recedes from lack of damage for a period of time
[HEADING=2]Plasmids[/HEADING]

Subject Delta will be able to use plasmids and weapons simultaneously. Up to eight plasmid slots are available, with three slots already available to the player from the start. Others will have to be bought at a Gatherer's Garden. The single player campaign will feature plasmids from the first game, but they will present a significant difference from their earlier counterparts. Plasmids are upgradable, and unlock alternate or enhanced functions at each level.

- All eleven plasmids from the original game will be returning to the sequel, although some will present a few changes. For example Hypnotize, the successor to Hypnotize Big Daddy, allows the player to hypnotize Splicers as well as Big Daddies.

- New plasmids such as Geyser Trap, Aero Dash and the Houdini Plasmid (all of them multiplayer only) have been confirmed.

- EVE Hypos are fed to Delta intravenously, so the player will be able to fight while filling up their EVE reserves.

- Upgrading a plasmid unlocks an alternate use: for example, Incinerate! can be charged to produce a fireball at level Two, and at level Three it can be fired continuously, in a way similar to a flame-thrower.

- Plasmids can now be combined. For example, firing Incinerate! into a Cyclone Trap will create a flaming trap.

*Electro Bolt (Single-Player & Multi-Player):
Just as in the first game, it acts as an offensive and defensive plasmid (stunning foes, leaving them open for a melee attack) however in Bioshock 2 you can power it up further. At level 2 you can charge Electro Bolt and release it, causing chain lightning across any enemies nearby.

*Incinerate! (SP & MP):
As with Electro Bolt, Incinerate! acts the same as it always did until you power it up to level 2. Once you do, you can charge it up and release for a "fire bomb" attack, great for setting whole groups on fire.

*Winter Blast (SP & MP):
Level one's the same as before, but level two will allow you to charge and release for an increased ice attack. Foes in the blast will not just freeze: They'll turn into blocks of ice. This will keep your foe frozen for longer, and the ice block can even be used as a projectile when lifted with Telekinesis.

*Cyclone Trap (Single-player Only):
One of the returning powers. Cyclone Trap works the same as it did in the first game at level one. Power it up to level 2, though, and you can charge any cyclone trap with another attack plasmid. So, for example, you can set a trap and then shoot an Incinerate! plasmid into it. Then, when anyone activates it, they'll be thrown into the air and set on fire. Handy!

*Security Command (Single-player Only):
'Security Command' is the BioShock 2 plasmid successor to 'Security Bullseye' from BioShock. One of the new abilities granted is to call forth a friendly Security Bot to attack enemies, without the presence or function of a Security Camera.

*Scout (Single-player Only):
An extremely unique plasmid, this allows you to basically turn into a ghost at will. In "ghost" form you're invisible, but you can still use attack plasmids (no guns, though). This means that you can scout ahead and zap unsuspecting splicers standing in a pool of water, or temporarily deactivate pesky turrets without threat of attack. Your physical body will remain in the same place, though, and you'll have to return to it to progress.

*Hypnotize (Single-player Only):
The first game had a plasmid called "Hypnotize Big Daddy." Same idea here, except it'll work against ordinary splicers at a much lower EVE cost. You can actually charge this power up, granting you dominion over an angry splicer for a longer period of time. It's not permanent, though. After about five minutes the power will wear off and you'll have to make short work of your new best friend.

*Aero Dash (Multiplayer Only):
In multiplayer you can use Aero Dash to give yourself a burst of speed. If you charge into anyone you'll do serious damage. It also makes for a great way to bolt if you've managed to snag a Little Sister in the game's Capture The Flag-esque mode.

Houdini Plasmid (Multiplayer Only):
The Houdini Plasmid is a BioShock 2 Multiplayer-exclusive plasmid which will allow the user to turn invisible. When using this plasmid, disappearing and reappearing creates the same "cloud" effect as Houdini Splicers. When invisible, the user cannot attack or perform any sort of action, but can still take damage. The plasmid continuously drains EVE while it is activated.

[small]There are more Plasmids available in the game. These are just a hand-picking of some old favourites and some new flavours presented[/small]
[HEADING=2]Gene Tonics[/HEADING]
In BioShock 2, Gene Banks serves the same purpose as it did in the original (to modify the player's Plasmid and Gene Tonic loadouts). However, the interface is different, and the number of available slots changes as well. Also the Gene Tonics are no longer categorized, so one may choose to wield more than six Tonics of the same type at a time.

- New Tonics will be making an appearance such as 'Fire Storm' and 'Keen Observer' while most of the Tonics in the previous game will remain.
[HEADING=2]Weapons[/HEADING]

Subject Delta has a powerful arsenal in BioShock 2, from unstoppable melee attacks to devastating ranged weapons. Unlike the first game, the player will have access to a quick-melee button, which causes Delta to swing whatever weapon he is holding in front of him. Although usually faster, this attack deals less damage than if the player is using an actual melee weapon.

*The player will have access to all of the Big Daddy weapons from the first game, as well as new ones

*Drill: Replaces the Wrench as a standard melee weapon. Unlike the Wrench, the Drill can be upgraded and requires Drill Fuel to perform more powerful attacks.

*Rivet Gun: Replaces the Pistol. Medium to long range and fairly powerful.

*Gatling Gun: Replaces the Machine Gun. A minigun-like weapon with a high rate of fire and good damage.

*Double-Barrelled Shotgun: Replaces the Shotgun. This gun seems to have the same attributes as its predecessor.

*Cannon: Replaces the Grenade Launcher. Able to fire explosives at enemies.

*Research Camera: This tool will return in the sequel, but takes videos instead of still photographs. It also no longer pauses the game.

*Spear Gun: Replaces the Crossbow. A very powerful long-range weapon.

*Hack Tool: Fires darts able to hack machines from a distance.
[HEADING=2]Hacking[/HEADING]

Hacking will make a return in BioShock 2. However, the minigame will be completely different to the one present in the original. The new minigame takes place in real-time, and takes the form of a horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen with a needle moving back and forth across it. The objective is to land the needle in a specific area in the bar. There are four different outcomes depending on the colour of the area the needle lands in:

*If Green, then the hack will succeed.

* If Blue, then the hack will succeed and the player will receive another bonus related to the hacked device (bonus vary from: extra items from safes, to free health kits/EVE hypos, money, increases duration of friendly alarms etc..)

* If White, then the hack will abort, inflicting damage upon the player.

* If Red, then the hack will abort and the player will receive a negative reward related to the machine.

[It is important to note that these "positive" regions/areas - (blue and green) - will get smaller as players progress in the game. Similarly the "negative" regions/areas - (white and red) - will get larger as players progress]

There also appears to be a time limit in the minigame, as noted by the number in the middle of the hack bar. It is speculated the hack will abort at the end of it if the player does not select a spot for the needle to land. It is also still possible to buy the machine out as in the original game.

Hacking Summary said:
* Hacking has been made into a more effective strategy by allowing the player to heal and upgrade their Security Bots.

* In single-player, the player will not leave the game screen to hack; the mini-game will occur in real time on the main game screen.

* In multiplayer, hacking will be a time-based progress bar rather than a mini-game.

* Players will have the choice to either hack up close, or from a distance with the Hack Tool.
[HEADING=2]Big Daddies and Little Sisters[/HEADING]

* These pairs will be present in BioShock 2

* As usual, the player will have to kill the Big Daddy to get the ADAM from the Little Sister. However, the "Rescue" option is not immediately available. Instead, the player can either opt to "Harvest" or "Adopt" the Little Sister.

* If the player chooses to adopt, the Little Sister will ride on Delta's shoulder.

* When a Little Sister is in the player's care, she will warn them of the Big Sister's approach by singing in a worried voice.
[HEADING=1]Multiplayer section[/HEADING]

BioShock 2 includes a fully-featured Multiplayer experience developed by Digital Extremes. The game will take place approximately a year before the events of the first BioShock, and will depict the events of the Rapture Civil War.

Players will take on the role of plasmid test subjects and will be pitted against each other. According to PC Gamer, the multiplayer mode takes place in 1959, a year before the events of the first game. There will be "story elements" and certain new plasmids that can only be used in multiplayer. Some levels will be set in partly recognizable areas from the first game, but set before the fall of rapture and thus in a more serene light. Players will have to unlock experience points to unlock new weapons, tonics, and plasmids to customize characters.
[HEADING=2]THE FACES OF RAPTURE'S CIVIL WAR[/HEADING]

The citizens of Rapture's Civil War were not always monsters. Once, they were hailed as geniuses -- brilliant minds burning brightly -- ahead of their time. They came to the city seeking freedom -- they fought for what they believed to be good and right. And in their search for true greatness they destroyed themselves. These are the faces of Rapture's Civil War.

The Cult of Rapture will take a closer look at each of the characters you can play in BioShock 2's multiplayer experience. At launch, there will be a total of eight playable characters, two of them being pre-order bonuses. Each character will have their own back story, unique selection of melee weapons, and unique comments that they will make during gameplay. Although each character is disfigured due to gene splicing, when a player looks in a mirror their character will appear to be what they were before splicing. If another player has chosen the same character model as the player's, they will appear as severely deformed by splicing.

To take a look at the playable characters in the multi-player component, click on the below tag.

[HEADING=1]Jacob Norris (The Welder)[/HEADING]

Jacob Norris is a stand up guy. A gifted and innovative metallurgist, his considerable skills as a welder were essential to the construction of Rapture?s physical foundations. Responding to dangerous and consistently deteriorating conditions in Rapture worksites, Jacob has become a vehement and highly vocal supporter of labor reform, and is therefore regarded as something of a hero by his peers. The onset of the civil war finds Jacob fighting for this cause as aggressively as ever.
[HEADING=1]Barbara Johnson (The Housewife)[/HEADING]

Barbara Johnson is a dutiful housewife and an attentive mother. She arrived in Rapture hoping that the unique and exciting circumstances of life under the sea would dispel the sense of dissatisfaction that plagued her topside. And at first it did. But as the novelty of her new environment wore off, and her household duties again demanded her full attention, she found herself once again beset by the familiar and nagging sense that there must be something more.
[HEADING=1]Danny Wilkins (The Athlete)[/HEADING]

Danny Wilkins is a naturally gifted athlete whose remarkable abilities have secured a perfect record for Ryan?s Raiders every season he?s been on the team. Danny does not recall ever having lost at anything. Though he does recognize that he has on occasion been on a losing team, he argues that the loss itself has never been his fault. Losses on these occasions were invariably attributable to his teammates, and, furthermore, in every case, Danny was otherwise occupied breaking and setting various records of his own.
[HEADING=1]Naledi Atkins (The Pilot)[/HEADING]

Naledi is a fearless pilot with a love for the mechanical and kinetic. Before she came to Rapture, she was well known around the world for her feats of daring. A fellow pilot, Cal Whitkins, noted her disappearance on the surface and commented that she had probably gone in search of some great adventure. In Rapture her ravenous appetite for adventure is the primary factor in deciding which contracts Naledi will accept as a freelance pilot of submersibles. Naledi lives her life as dictated by the demands of the moment, and does not deal in regret. She lives her life always at least one step ahead of boredom.
[HEADING=1]Buck Raleigh (The Businessman)[/HEADING]

Buck Raleigh made his money in bourbon. He is a self-made businessman in the bourbon industry from the American south with an intrepid nature and boundless ambition. He is known as a ruthless and cutthroat negotiator who frequently defied government regulations. Eventually he was put on trial for tax evasion, but before a ruling could be made, Raleigh disappeared. Buck came to Rapture fed up with the disruption governmental interference consistently caused in his industry topside, and has been an eager and avid competitor in Rapture?s unregulated markets.
[HEADING=1]Suresh Sheti (The Mystic)[/HEADING]

Suresh Sheti is a masterful mentalist whose confident performances have universally mystified audiences around the world. He arrived in Rapture, joined the performance troupe at Fort Frolic, and proceeded to amaze the city?s denizens with a preternatural and Plasmid-enhanced stage show featuring astonishing acts of mind control and clairvoyance, and challenging preconceived notions of what is or isn?t possible.

[HEADING=1]Zigo d?Acosta (The Fisherman)[/HEADING]
Zigo d'Acosta earned his gruff, pitiless, and highly superstitious nature chasing some of the world?s most dangerous game out on the open waters of the sea. He was born aboard a whaling ship, and, for all intents and purposes, was raised by the only two entities that figured into his life with any sort of consistency: the ship?s captain and the sea itself. Zigo d'Acosta came to Rapture eager to experience the sea from a new perspective
[HEADING=1]Mlle Blanche de Glace (The Actress)[/HEADING]
Mlle Blanche de Glace is an internationally acclaimed actress of rich emotional depth. She arrived in Rapture eager to captivate a new audience. A passionate woman with a history of torrid love affairs, she searches for a partner who can match her intensity and satisfy her appetites, but has yet to find one. She oscillates between periods of extreme seclusion, shunning all personal interaction, and times of exceptional sociability, when her hunger for contact seems insatiable.

[HEADING=2]Mutiplayer Features[/HEADING]

* Collect ADAM to level up and reveal more story.
* Power up Plasmids for more powerful attacks.
* Five game modes and two alterations for a total of seven.
* Use three loadouts to switch weapons during respawns.
* Ten-player matches.
* Pre-game menu is a 3D modeled apartment.
* Personalized characters.
* Each character will have access to a series of melee weapons.
* The player's avatar will change as they make progress: the more they splice, the uglier and more insane their character gets. This is represented by visual as well as audio cues.
* Plasmids are more dynamic in how they react with the environment (If the player has Incinerate! and lights an oil slick, they could put it out with Winter Blast).
* In the fourth BioShock 2 Podcast from the Cult of Rapture, there is mention of there being ten official maps shipped with the game, hinting toward DLC maps later on.
* There are forty levels of character development in multiplayer. When the player's character levels up, he/she will also be promoted in Sinclair Solutions' hierarchy: for example, one may advance from the Bronze Club to the Silver Society. There are a total of four overarching ranks.
*The player can become a Rosie by finding a Big Daddy Suit, which spawns randomly in the level. As a Rosie, players will have access to the entire Rosie arsenal, including a Big Daddy stomp, six proximity grenades, and unlimited rivets. Health and attack power will be dramatically augmented, but they lose the ability to replenish health, as well as use Plasmids. Big Daddies yield a much higher ADAM reward than normal enemies.

[HEADING=2]Summary of Multiplayer Features[/HEADING]

* Genetically Enhanced Multiplayer: Earn experience points during gameplay to earn access to new Weapons, Plasmids and Tonics that can be used to create hundreds of different combinations, allowing players to develop a unique character that caters to their playing style.

* Experience Rapture?s Civil War: Players will step into the shoes of Rapture citizens and take direct part in the civil war that tore Rapture apart.

* See Rapture Before the Fall: Experience Rapture before it was reclaimed by the ocean and engage in combat over iconic environments in locations such as Kashmir Restaurant and Mercury Suites, all of which have been reworked from the ground up for multiplayer.

Xbox World 360 said:
2K Marin's return to rapture is "every bit as engrossingly mysterious" as the original game, "if not more so," says Xbox World's 90% verdict, which calls the two Bioshock entries "as inseparable as Daddy and Sister".

While the return to the underwater setting feels overly familiar, the mag says "this won't disappoint BioShock fans," adding that the multiplayer mode is "different enough that is should establish at least a small, loyal online community".

PC Gamer and PSM3 rate 2K's massive sequel

The first BioShock 2 reviews have arrived, via both PSM3 and PC Gamer magazines... and it's good news.

PSM3 awarded the follow-up 93%, saying it "Tops the original in terms of storytelling and combat."

PC Gamer meanwhile went with a lower but still impressive score of 90%, concluding that "the mechanics that made the original BioShock such fun return, better than before," and "it's still better written than pretty much anything else out there."

Thank you for all the PMs reminding me to make this "hype" thread, it's not as polished as I would have liked it to be but I really can't afford to spend any more time on this. I hope the information is compartmentalised enough that you get a sense for the game. I know I did, I pre-ordered it!.

Also, this is going to be my last preview thread for some time. Fortunately the games I wanted to preview beforehand have extended release dates, so maybe next month once I am all settled in I will have a new game preview out.

Ed notes: Subject Delta, is no longer the first Big Daddy, but rather the fourth prototype, though he remains the first to be successfully 'pair-bonded' to a single Little Sister. This was revealed as Delta is the fourth Greek letter in the alphabet and so subject Delta the fourth prototype.

I'm very impressed =D

Great content, and I have yet to see many "professional" pre/reviews as well made as this.

Thanks for the review!
I wasn't really a fan of Bioshock to be honest, so I don't see how this will be any better. The hype on it is getting too much too, which is what will let most people down. Still, there may be hope.

Actually, you play as the fourth prototype Big Daddy.
Thank you for reminding me about that, I forgot to change it by podcast 8.

From what I heard in a local gaming magazine it might be really boring and I'm very sceptic about the hype...

They got to play like the first few levels or hours or whatever and said the story is great and all but you basically just repeat stuff over and over and over again e.g. the "Big Sister" won't be singular bosses that are badass and special/exciting when you get to fight them but will appear 10+ times in the first hours of the game and get old fast and another mechanic to take a little sister, put her down near a dead body and protect her from Splicers might be fun the 1st time but the 20th time you have to do it it'll get tedious.
Yes, a German magazine gave it a 86% (I can't find the source) claiming it was slightly repetitive in the middle bits. However I have always found German gaming magazines to be utterly brutal and quite thorough with their reviews what with being so far away from the US hype influences. So an 86% from them is a very high accolade. It's almost equivalent to a 95% elsewhere.

I have faith that this game will put a smile on face.

YESSS!!!!! Glad you finally got around releasing this preview. I am so psyched for this game, screw the haters I am a mad fan of the lore and writing of Bioshock. Those early positive reviews is a good sign. Even if it wasn't I would still buy it. Had no idea about the game having multiplayer this time around so thanks for the info about that. Rapture's Civil War looks really interesting

This thread has done more to get me excited than any of 2K's efforts. Great Job Skarin and more like this please.
(also waiting for your reviews)

This was very helpful and made me look forward to the game even more. I like the multiplayer idea more now, it should be fun if all goes well.

Now I know I won't get this game, as you have to take care of little sisters if you want to get the good ending, and I really disliked that escort mission in the first one.

So if you're the first Big Daddy to be bonded to a Little Sister, where is she? Dead? Or do you get reunited with her later on?

It's open to speculation as to what her fate may be and there are many speculations. The answer though is in the game
