To all the people telling him to buy a PC: I never understood why people love PCs so much, I mean you're pretty much paying an extra 500$ for your dark brown, post-apocalyptic games to look a little shinier. Also, you have to keep dumping cash into it every year or so, because you want to play Crysis 2 on super high-def brake my 1000$ PC mode. I paid 400$ dollars for my 360 on launch day and haven't put a dime in it yet (other than games of course). In continuation, PCs can mainly only have 1 player play at a time (locally) while my 360 can have up to 4. Let's not even get started on DRM, my copy of Mass Effect works on my 360, my friend's, and the 360 of everyone else while your copy works on your PC after a long install time and even then maybe not.

===End Rant===

P.S. I'm only strictly talking about the gaming aspect, I know you have me beat with the interwebs and such.

P.S.S. Keeping it legal here so don't anyone respond saying that you can illegally download PC games.

P.S.S.S Please don't kill me :(

I don't like answering format..reminds me of tests.

It's simple. If your a gamer, you want Xbox360 mainly because it does have more exclusives but a few of the exclusives on PS3 are most likely going to be ported on Xbox360.

The Main reason I wanted a PS3 for so long was MGS4 but after talking to a good amount of people, knowing konami.. they'll probably make Substance MSG4 blah blah blah. So yeah.. I would say Xbox360.
They probably make a Substance yes but if it comes to the 360? I'm not sure about that.

A 360 is more bang for your buck than a PS3. The PS3 only offers good things to JRPG Enthusiasts (and not even that much) and good Sony First Party titles (LBP, Resistance, Uncharted etc. and the next Team ICO game)

Agreed. Personally, the online for both is changing quite a bit in the future... The PS3 online community is growing, and the appeal there is the absence of a fee for online play. The xbox online community is being revamped with an update for the entire interface of the system, which will no doubt attract some and includes some nice perks... The 360 online is popular, I can tell you this without a doubt, but like I said, the PS3 online I'm sure is growing and fairly popular already. Many big titles are released for 360 only as well, and definitely many of the games released are worth it to get a 360... But I'm not here to sway you, I'm just letting you know that I have fun with my 360.

Biggest downside at this point though: no blu ray on 360, and no wireless included in the package. Make the decision on your own.

More often than not (during lengthy gaming sessions) your fingers will slip off the triggers. They are extremely uncomfortable and yes, do not eat crisps (chips) without washing your hands after. It is only a minor gripe but I was very dissapointed.
This is an issue, but easily resolved with Real Triggers. They're like £3 a set and click easily onto the Dualshock/Sixaxis.

They don't look as pretty but play nice.

If you're on a quest to amass as many games as possible, go ahead, get a 360, but if it's most convinient to only have one, get it and stick with it. I'm lucky to have all three, but having one isn't a bad thing. I'm really just talking ps3 and 360 right now. If you want FPS you'll find good ones on both. Unless you find yourself playing with nathan hale in your house and slow motion look out the window to see someone playing with Master Chief in the house next door, as a single tear falls down your cheek, you'll be satisfied with whatever exclusives there are for either. I can promise that there is one exclusive for both systems that is fun. None of these games revolutionize the genre enough to make someone scream in rage in that their playing the other console's equivilant of that game. The only games that would be motivating to go out of yor way to get the other console for are ones that do something incredibly new. Really different games like LBP and stuff. All the nitpicks between the two are so minor that it shouldn't matter.

If it's convinient or your just so lucky as to end up with both, fantastic, I play my ps3 and 360 a decently similar amount, but if you end up with only one of them, dont cry over it, the one that you do get will be great.

You just friggen flamed that guy, and then you immediately tell me not to post flame bait? Are you nuts? How about, I don't listen to you and let the mods tell me what I can and can't do. Thank you.
I explained to that guy why people reacted with ire to incorrect grammar and spelling but by all means post whatever you like. Where possible, do so without using the search button first, we hate it when people use the search button.

I had to get an Xbox 360 since most of my friends have it, so if I want to play online games with them then I have to go along with the ride. I already have a PS3 but it gets boring always playing pick-up online games with strangers.

Currently, all offline games will be played on my PS3 with all online heavy games on the 360.

That isn't true, really. The 360 has more JRPGs currently than the PS3 does. The only ones you'll be missing will be Disgaea 3 and Valkyria Chronicles, LBP. The last two I admit look and sound extremely interesting, but I'm not going to get a new console for those quite yet. We'll see again when the prices drop.

This right here is a pretty good reason. I don't even know anyone that I mingle with on a regular basis that owns a PS3, so any online gaming will be done with strangers. So owning a 360 as well would let me play with them. I'm thinking that just getting an arcade version of the 360 sounds good enough, after hearing these (mostly) great responses.

Just out of curiosity, did you put theif on purpose? I've seen your names in the forums a lot, and it's funny how I only just noticed the "e" and the "i" are switched.

I'd be lying if I said it was. Let's just say that it was a habit forming type stroke. I know how to spell thief but for some reason my hands to this weird auto-type flinch thing putting the e before the i....

Now it's just a running joke.

I have all three and in all honestly , the only one I've ever regretted buying is the Playstation 3.There's barely any exclusives and most games on it I could get for my xbox , which I think has a better online community. I mean , Fallout 3 is coming out on both , but only the Xbox 360 and PC versions will get downloadable content. The Wii I'm happy with , Brawl , Mario Kart and Super Mario Galaxy all make for fine evenings of gaming. There's even Wii Sports for those too cheap to buy anything else.

Lose the PS3 , just get the Xbox 360 and buy Live.

If anyone does know of any Decent PS3 games i couldn't get on my xbox , then please tell me. I need some games for it. (I know Killzone 2's coming out , that looks good. I've played Haze at a mates house and thought it was kinda ... CRAP).
