Bootcamp into Windows to play?

Or, buy a PC and install Linux on it for your gaming?

Minecraft works on Mac as long as you get the Mac version (redundant statement is redundant).

i just wanted some input from everyone. no hard feelings though.

also, is Minecraft as addicting or as much fun as everyone seems to claim? i'm just trying to get a better grip on this game before i do anything

How do you use those?

They would be very useful on trolling excursions to other forums.

http://www.minecraft.net/download.jsp There ya go. Also it's fun if you like to build and explore vast areas. I've seen videos of people building some amazing stuff. If you're not sure just youtube some minecraft vids.

do you know how much of a ***** Linux gaming is? none of the 'can i run' programs work, and very few games are Linux (i've found 2: minecraft and amnesia.) and theres no steam.

yes
it is life destroyingly addictive
and you'll love it for it

i've not seen something more addictive since watching pc nerds que up en masse for WOW cataclysm
which is the third sadest thing i've seen im my short 17 years of exsistance

as a tangentle note thame thing for wrath of the lich king was the second sadest
and the absolute sadest thing i've ever seen was about 1/2 an hour on 4chan

But... He likes Macs... So I figured that Linux would be his next best option. Obviously assuming that he wanted no part in anything Windows at all, of course.

Linux is normally booted within Windows, like an extension. the only reason i'm not is because my laptop was Vista.
