This is likely to seem really odd but hey, why not right? So for those of you who watched/read Gantz, are you as bothered as I am over the Green Onion Boy? Something about that poor sod really makes me sad, to the point that it plagues my mind constantly. Maybe it's because he's being hunted with no purpose in mind, maybe it's his complete lack of understanding as to why, maybe it's his desperate pleading near the end or the misery of still living for quite some time after being so severely severed before being killed.

For discussion value, has anything that wasn't supposed to effect you too deeply really bother you?

I completely agree. I felt so sad for the onion boy in the Manga, Anime and even in the live action movie. I think what bother me is the fact hes being killed for no reason. And hes an innocent that ddnt attack until he was threatened.

For your first question: I can't awnser as I haven't had any contact with Gantz.

As to your second: All the time, stuff tends to get to me in weird ways sometimes, a good example would be Shakugan no Shana, it's a comedy action romance series about creatures that eat peoples existence.
In short they cause people to have never existed, if they only partly eat someone, they continue on for a while slowly fading away, their emotions becomiong more and more dull as people around them forget that they are there or that they even exsist, then they simply... don't.
I'd like to reiterate this is a comedy action romance, and it is quite good, but the premise filled me with an existetial dread, a dread that the series as a whole seemed to think at least mostly unfounded.

He's being killed for a supposedly good reason, at least. I don't feel like they did anything wrong. Or, if anyone was in the wrong it was that dick veteran guy. Also, for anyone who likes the show/manga, you should check out the Gantz live-action movie, it just came out this year.

But that supposedly good reason stems from "that dick veteran guy" who said that whoever killed it would get 10 million along with it. For all we know that kid was just a kid with a goddamn cold.

And so did the God-Emperor decree "Suffer not the Xeno to live".

So yeah, that kind sumes up how I feel about the little alien thing from the first episode right? It was an early episode with those blasted little xeno's in them.
