A question for all of you science-y types

I have to do an experiment at home as part of a school assesment, but I'm not sure of what to do... Has anyone got any good ideas? I'd prefer nothing to heavily physics based, but tother than that I'm good for almost anything.

It's a question you're going have to tell yourself, Which aspect/area of science do you enjoy and do best at? You should be able to work from there.

I'm much happier in either biology and chemistry. Actually, chemistry the most, I think.

I would recommend doing something called "Electroplating", you can run it in two ways, actually plating a metal on to something like a nail, or the reverse which dissolves the nail. I don't want to ruin your research so I'll let you look up more, but if you want to pm me about it feel free. While the plating is more useful from an industrial standpoint, taking a piece a metal and making it disappear in front of an audience is pretty awesome.

The fruit battery is always a simple and fun thing to do. Plus you can dazzle them with theory too, since the maths isn't that difficult. Saying that though I am a physicist who describes differential geometry as "Not that bad once you get to know it", so maybe leave out the theory.
