I'm not a CoD hater. I just dislike Halo because I hate the idea of having to unload 10,000 rounds into an enemy before they die. Too much jumping around etc.
10,00 rounds? That's hardly the case. Sure, it takes more than a pull of the trigger to to kill an enemy, but that's because Halo's a more forgiving and balanced game. If someone gets caught under fire, they usually have the option to run, and avoid a fight that they wouldn't win. If they want to give it a shot, they can stand their ground and finish it. Sure, you can say that they ability to jump complicates gameplay, but so does all of CoD's features and equipment like Claymores, Tactical Insertions, Heartbeat Sensors, and so many other bits and pieces available to the player.
Too bad it never usually works likes that. I'll spend a massive amount of effort taking down one guy, only for one of his douche bag team mates to run around and finish me off. In things like CoD, if you have the element of surprise you can wipe out entire teams.

Rock Band, because it's the only game where single player, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer all play the exact same. I buy games for the single player. I liked CoD4 for its story, and never touched the multiplayer.

I wouldn't say it was people hating Halo most of the time, I love the games, hell I even enjoy Halo Wars for some stupid reason. But christ the players online are terrible, worst online community I have ever met so instead I stick to everything else, mainly Gears of War on consoles and World of Warcraft and older B.net games like Starcraft and Warcraft 2 & 3 for the PC.
