A question on alphabetizing

I've just got around to alphabetizing my film collection as it's starting to reach that size where it's a hassle to find what I'm looking for and the problem I've come across relates to sorting films with numeric titles and I wanted your opinions. The film I'm trying to place is Pi. However it's worth noting that on the side of the box is the Pi Symbol (I cant copy and paste it in for some reason). So where does it come in relation to 12 Angry Men or 300? Or do I just stick it under "P"?

I figure that it would be a number rather than a letter, and therefore would go before the letters, making your number comment slightly on the nose.

Or you could be boring and put it in the 'P' section. But that's boring.

I put it under P, personally, even though the symbol on the side is just the pi sign. It's in between PhoneBooth and The Pianist for me. >_<

As for numeric titles in general, I did them more like letters than in terms of smallest number to largest. 2010: A Space Odyssey is ahead of 300, for example, because the first number (2) comes first.

I would put it under "P". After all, the name is Pi, not 3.14...
The symbol "pi" is a greek letter, it's latin equivalent is "p" so you should treat it as a letter, not a number.

If you want to organize your foreign films with titles written in something like Japanese syllabary or Chinese though, you're on your own.

Another vote for P. Your choice whether to make it the very first (before Pa*) or not (treat is as Pi). I'd treat is as Pi, myself.

Well, if a movie started with "Infinite", you put it under "I", not to one side of the numbers, right?
