In this new era of gaming where people of whether games are art or not, PC gamers and console gamers war against each other, graphics/performance are the biggest priorities when gaming, and everyone else is arguing over stuff on 4chan, 8chan, reddit, and even tumblr, can we just all stop what we're doing for just one second and play some freaking video games? Please?

The people who are petty enough to be passionate about it have always gotten into arguments about whether PC or console games are better, even back in the 80s and 90s before the Internet. The only difference now is the Internet provides a medium of communication which allows them to transmit their opinions, rather than those opinions staying put in their circle of friends.

Meh, my only condition in choice of medium is what controller suits it best.

I want mouse and keyboard for shooters, and i bought Castle crashers twice because it needed controllers to play properly and with friends.

I feel that all the Pc-Console clashes are just the very vocal minority, most people won't, don't and will not care.

I play games, a little discussion isn't bad, but to have those we actually need to play right?

I don't too often engage in the oppinion discussions, I read what people think and that's about it. Good to get perspective from others, even if one has their own. But usually I just play the games I enjoy.

Would you believe that there are people, who exist, who have never set foot on 4chan, 8chan, or Tumblr? It's true, I should know, I'm one of them. I still barely know what Gamergate is/was nor do I really care. From what I can gather, you care far too much about people's opinions on the internet, enough in fact for it to detract from your own enjoyment of video games.

Cut out the middle man, I say. Just play and enjoy your video games and ignore anybody who tries to take that enjoyment away from you. That's pretty much the thick of it.
