You're kind of late. Fox News already did a piece about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Something along the lines of 'Bronies are sick freaks who need to be thrown in jail' or something. Too lazy to find the piece, but Google can help you with that.

I don't get all the hate (though I'm brittish so I don't get a lot from American media). I'm a guy who is the exact same as stan at the end of the south park episode "you're getting old" and I like MLP, I can't put my finger on it but it's the firs actually decent thing in the genre I've seen in 20 years, and I'm 24!

I didn't mean that they vanish, but there comes a time when people just shut the fuck up about them. I haven't heard anyone talk about Halo now like they used to around the time of Halo 2. Same will happen with MLP, even if it still airs.

Really? I still see Halo talk everywhere. CoD talk, everywhere. I don't think that the talk ever dies down, I think people just learn to ignore it.

Things pony related have been rather quiet around these parts outside of the regular fandom hang outs. The fighting game news post from today is the first we've heard in a few weeks. As it stands threads talking about MLP are usually started by people who dislike or do not "understand" the fandom. (what's there to understand, we like it therefore we watch)

It's actually rather funny as every fandom is prone to this. When people get the perception that the fans won't shut up about it, it's usually because there are non-fans who continue to badger the fans into explaining why they enjoy it or just blindly bash it.

So really it's not the fans you have to worry about shutting up, we prefer to stick to our own user groups and fansites tbh, it's the non-fans whom you have to worry about running their mouths and thus calling out the fans to defend what they like.

Thanks. Sorry for not doing my homework.

Personally, I like the series for the writing and acting. Also, there are moments of humor that reach beyond the young girl demographic.
