A quick thought about My Little Pony

I'm a fan of the show mostly because of Lauren Faust (and the dev/acting crew's) past experience. MLP feels a lot like the old cartoons of the mid to late 90's, all the stuff that I watched as a kid and loved. Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Samurai Jack...where did those go? I guess I watch it out of nostalgia.
MLP has great voice acting, intelligent humor with a bit of cartoon physics, and it's not dumbed down for younger kids. A younger child can enjoy the pretty colors and older kids laugh at the humor. And the characters are designed so we can relate to them for their personalities, not simply for being ponies.
The teams on design and acting are pulled from everywhere. For example, some of the animators' past experience has been on South Park and most of the voice actors have done quality work for much darker projects, such as the anime Black Lagoon. /rant

Honestly, the day SJ got canceled was the day I lost a little bit of faith in humanity.

2. Some of the louder guys do take things a little too far. You take what Hasbro and co worked hard to create and you put your little creepy spin on it, essentially raping it and then saying 'I LOVE YOU!!'. It's like you're banging a bootleg MLP plushie, just raping the shit out of it. And who the hell sincerely talks about where to get bootleg MLP merchandise? It's fake and shitty why the hell would you buy that?

For those who don't know, tweening is the process wherein two frames of animation are drawn, and a computer program (such as flash) averages them together, and creates frames in between them.
