So 2K President Christoph Hartmann was talking about Xcom in an interview and I love what he said about it.

"Every time I think of XCOM it gives me the chills, the kind that come from standing witness to the corruption and destruction of your world as you stand powerless to prevent it," I think the same thing Mr. Hartmann only I would replace "your world" with the word Xcom.

Yea it is because the original was a blast and I hate the fact it's going to be a generic first person shooter instead of something tactical.

But nah, I never played the original so I can't comment anything past the fact that the new X-com looks pretty snazzy for an FPS.

Because FPS games are the very definition of generic and don't have any space for tactical thinking in their core elements, right? It's not like ARMA and Battlefield need tactics for the player to be effective.

Look if the game ends up being like Battlefield I'll consider taking back what I said but I'll bet dollars to Turkish Lira that the game won't have any squad based anything in it. It'll just be a Micheal Bay Explosionfest with aliens and alien weapons.
