Oh, for cryin' out loud! Wait until the baby decides upon it's own gender? What world do those people live on?!?

I'm Canadian, so I'm happy our future King seems to be a healthy baby.

Now beyond that, I don't care. Leave them alone.

I don't really care.

If anything I hate the idea of royalty, especially in the 21st century. I feel just because they have very famous ancestors who did very good things, and some who did very bad they shouldn't be rewarded with no taxes and the tittle of royalty.

I feel its the thought that their blood is superior than every other brit that bothers me. Often when you bring up this point you get the arguement that they dont really DO ANYTHING. Which makes no sense considering you're rolling out the red carpet for people who do NOTHING.

For me this is exciting, because this is a big deal, there is bound to be a huge market for memorabilia.

And when there is a big market for memorabilia, there is bound to be really stupid ideas that were actually made and sold as memorabilia.

And I am a fan of Ashens on YouTube, which means that to follow up Royal Wedding Tat, and Queen's Jubilee Tat, will be Royal Baby Tat.

Is it bad that you are now making me predict Queen's Funeral tat.

I'm pro-Royal (or whatever the term is for someone who likes the royal family) because I'm proud of my British heritage and news of 3 generations of first born males is wonderful news. Looking at it from a dynastic perspective that's a hell of a strong line - and it's double mixed with common blood now.

Or I've been playing too much Crusader Kings II.

The queen, visiting the internet on a free moment.

It's a bit like christmas. In the end, it's needless and with unfortunate implications in the luggage. But it looks pretty and makes a lot of people happy. I'd say the baby got the bad end of the deal, considering he's in a full time job for the rest of his life where the press will stand behind his back, ready to tear him apart the moment he slips.

Well, it's nice with some good news for a change, though.

Well, as a Canadian loyal to the monarchy, I'm glad it turned out to be a boy. Quebec would surely have used the opportunity to raise a stink about it all.

I don't expect it made much news outside of the commonwealth, though. Nobody else really has that much reason to care.

Oh well, time to ignore all sources of news for the next month or so. How they manage to drag out the coverage of such insignificant events will never cease to surprise and disappoint me...

I couldn't help but laugh at my TV news' priority today. The top story of course was the royal baby. The night's second story that needed to take a backseat to babies? 40 people dead in an earthquake in China.

Way to prioritize.

I'm all for LGBT support, but that's just fucking ridiculous.

He has a penis. Unless he decides otherwise later in life, we can safely assume he is male.

Whoopty do,

another royal baby was born, I may be canadian but I really don't get why this was all over the news for the past week...

I mean I just don't see what's the big deal aside from more pointless celebrity gossip

I had hoped it would be a princess so that the change to the rules of succession could be used. Would be cool to see the first crown princess by birthright and not simply the luck on not having a brother.

So nowadays, it's insensitive, sexist and forceful to call someone with a dick a boy?
I must have missed the meeting where they were voting on that one.

Also, it should obviously be Prince Vegeta.

My thoughts regarding the baby or the royal family in general are pretty summed up in this video

As some who doesn't really give a damn about the royals, I don't really give a damn about the royals.

I really want him to be a Joffrey though.

Edit: Guess I should mention I'm Canadian since apparently we're part of the commonwealth which means people expect us to give a damn about some super rich people in a country I once visited for one week and otherwise have no affiliation with.

Oh yay, the royal baby is a boy. Let's dedicate all news coverage for the next three weeks to this.

On the bright side, The Onion is having [a href=http://www.theonion.com/section/royal-baby/]delightful amount of fun[/a] over the incident.
