This year, I am taking AP computer science, where we learn to write very simple Java code. We wind up having a lot of because the teacher can only help one person at a time, and most of the other people in the class are not very good at Java. Also, there is not really enough to keep us occupied for a whole year.

The teacher is really cool, however. He lets us play games in our free time. My class, along with at least the last two years of classes, play Unreal Tournament a lot. I brought Age of Empires in one day, but the problem that we had with it was that we did not have enough time to play a full LAN game. I was wondering if anyone here knew of any RTS older games in which you could save a network game.

Age of Empires 2.
Starcraft, maybe. But I don't think so.
Also, you could try Halo 1 if the compouters are up to it.

Red Alert 2, nice simple, and quick.
However I do not think there is a save game option for Multi-Player

Edit: Spelling and addition

Back in high school, programming class, a bunch of friends and I would have daily Starcraft matches on the school network, worked just fine (and saves worked as well, you just need to make sure each player ends up in the right slot when you load the game again)

This year in Computer Science I (and a few others) generally just play games because most people in my class can't handle basic coding in Java. So he gives us a lot of time for assignments, which we finish in a day or two, then we move on with games for a week or two.

Starcraft excellent, but I have no idea if you can save games.
