Would absolutely love a sequel to Baldur's Gate series. One that would maintain the quality and spirit along with the isometric view - no first person action rpg.
Otherwise I'd settle for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.
Could happily sink a lot of hours into those games.

Freedom Fighters. It's a shame that, for all modern developers like to boast that 'your choices make a difference' it hasn't been as true for any game in recent memory as it was in Freedom Fighters.

The thing I absolutely loved about that game was how some levels were actually impossible unless you played others first to sever supply routes or take out the power to certain buildings. When you returned to a level that had previously destroyed you only to find it was actually possible, now, it actually gave you a feeling that what you were doing mattered, and that you were actually changing the course of the war through your own actions.

A next-gen sequel with loads more levels and more intricate ways to affect the opposing army would be awesome, but probably considered too complex for the modern way of thinking, that we'll all get bored or turn off if we're required to generate thought processes beyond 'shoot until everything is dead'.

I'd love to see a sequel to Bulletstorm.
The skill-shot system really made it stand out from other FPS' I've played, encouraging me to look to the environment so that I could kill my enemies in the most stylish, brutal and hilarious ways possible so that I could get more points for upgrades/ammo. The characters were also a lot of fun to be with dialogue as creatively and entertainingly foul as the kills they made on the battlefield. Sure the story wasn't that great, but story isn't what the game was about and it still gave me plenty of motivation to plow through the next level so I could gut General Sarrano with my Drill-Gun. Sadly the story ended on a cliffhanger (which always irritates the fuck out of me!) which I suppose isn't too bad since it leaves way for more Bulletstorm, but I still haven't heard anything about whether that day is actually going to happen.

And while we're on the subject of annoyingly-unresolved cliffhangers, I really want to see Vanquish 2!

hmm i would like to see a sequel to supreme commander: Forged Alliance, SupCom 2 doesnt count! fortunately it looks like planetary annihilation will scratch that giant-robots-beating-the-snot-out-of-each-other-on-giant-maps-with-a-unique-economy itch

also one to tyrian and just cause 2 would be great, hell for JC 2 all they really need to do is add a multiplayer mode and a new island and im good, and yes i know about the JC2 MP mod

I'd say L.A. Noire. When I say sequel I mean new setting, new characters but mostly the same mechanics. The questioning and interrogation worked and so did searching locations for clues. Combat was a bit clunky so maybe tone that down. Either way, new setting, new characters, new story, same gameplay. It was different to most games and was rather fun.

A sequal to Freelancer, would be good.

Or maybe even just a spiritual succcesor. We need to get back to space sims i think. For if you cannot expose your enimies to hard vacuumn and hear thieir screams of "I don't won't to die!" or "Tell my wife i...". Then really are you trying to fight them.

A sequel to Legacy of Kain: Defiance. A real sequel that ties up the story, not this multiplayer crap we're getting.
Wait, what is this multiplayer creap we're getting?!? Though yes, I would kill for a game to close up the series. That cliffhanger is mean.

Other preferences would be AoM 2, Warcraft IV as people have said, as well as Kingdom Hearts 3 (Which is happening :D), Fable 4 funnily enough, Jak 4 and finally, a proper Knights of the Old Republic 3.
I vote for all of this except KH3 cuz I never got into that series so I don't really care about it. But god I loved all those other games mentioned.

OT: here is the link to the multiplayer story for Legacy of Kain

I'd like a Saints Row 3, seeing the conclusion to the Dex story would be brilliant.

I'd probably prefer it over the expansion packs SR:TT and SRIV.

I second this though.

I want to see Obsidian develop Alpha Protocol 2. That or they need to develop a spiritual sequel that uses the same game mechanics from AP but done better. I loved the conversation system and how whatever I did in one mission could effect and be referenced what I did in another mission.
Alpha Protocol is one of my all time fav's.

Also seconding whoever mentioned Gladius.

Oh and Jade Empire (actually if Obsidian did Jade Empire 2 I would be extra happy, just saying)

A new Vampire: The Masquerade or Vampire: The Requiem game would be nice. Changelings or Hunters could be fun, a (New) World of Darkness game that lets you play as them all would be great. But I'd prefer they focus on one of them right and have the others show up as NPCs (like in Bloodlines) instead of trying them all and screwing up. So Vampire it is. I prefer New World of Darkness but I like Masquerade too.

A sequel to Battlefield 2142 would be made of win. Add more weapons and gametypes and you've got yourself a brilliant multiplayer shooter.

I think either Obsidian or CD Projekt Red need to develop a sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. While it would fit better with Obsidian's style I think CD Projket Red could also do a really good job with it.

Bulletstorm 2 (Unlikely for now, since the 1st game sold disappointingly, but I'll be holding out for hope!)

Republic Commando 2 (Again, unlikely, but with EA making a new Battlefront, let's hope they resurrect other IPs in the SW franchise that were actually good.)

Beyond Good & Evil 2 (Once again, poor sales kept an overlooked gem from receiving a sequel, but we can only hope....)

Half-Life 3 (Obviously, but we all know that Valve can't count to 3.)

Brute Force 2 (One of my favorite Xbox exclusives from '03. It doesn't really NEED one, but I would love to see the team come back together to face a new enemy. This one looks SUPER unlikely, since the developer behind it was shut down by M$ in '06.)
