Dual Weilding needlers, probably the one redeeming feature of Halo 2 was removed for Halo 3
Why the hell do people keep saying this? The reason why you could dual-wield Needlers in Halo 2 was because their homing was shit so dual-wielding two made them quite useful.

Do you have any idea how overpowered it would be to dual-wield Needlers in Halo 3? Their homing and rate of fire and much better now so using two at once would result in too many easy kills.
Woah...chill out. Im just saying, it was cool
LOL chill out? I wasn't mad or anything I just wanted to express why I think dual-wielding Needlers on Halo 3 would be bad. Sorries ;p.

well, I think we can unanimously agree that Tony Hawk: Ride obliterated what was left of once one of the most celebrated franchises in the world, going from a constant downfall to a downright flop.
The Tony Hawk series died after T.H.U.G. All ones since have been shit
yeah, but Ride was notably shit-er than the rest of them :p

Resident Evil 5 comes to mind. The moment I saw an enemy wield an AK-47 I knew this wasn't a horror game anymore but instead a Gears of War clone.

They added vehicles to Unreal Tournament, instead of the delicious deathmatch fragfest it's supposed to me, they tried to change it into a half-assed Battlefield clone. My heart wept.

Why did they take the RTS out of Warcraft...? That's my biggest anyway.
Well my first idea got ninja'd.

Empire Total War didn't let you micro manage and tax each village separately like Medieval did. Instead you taxed the whole area.

Didn't break the game, but was a downer.
Havn't played Empire: Total War, but loved Rome and Medieval 2: Total War.

Are there any other noticable changes? Because I'm thinking about buying it.
I would advise against buying it, I have it and I never play it I just end up going back to Rome and Medieval 2. Try it on a mates PC first and go from there.

I've mentioned it before, but Brutal Legend. Everything else about that game was nearly perfect (with the possible exception of Eddie's inability to jump over inch-high obstacles), but I hate RTSes, and the fucking stage battles ruined it for me. I wound up not finishing it, because I just plain didn't want to do two stage battles in a row.
Thats not really a series though its the first game, they didn't add or remove something from a sequal.
OT: I've surprise nobody has mentioned it yet but deus ex invisible war, no skill points and not nearly as good.
EDIT:

It depends if you like the idea of rifles or not, my friend can't get over that cavalry isn't as important as it used to be. It is very good though now they have patched most of the bugs

For me it was all the little things they forgot to/couldn't be bothered to carry over from GTA:SA to GTA4.
I still love the game but theirs always this little niggling feeling like wheres my Paramedic/Fireman/Modifying cars/customising the main character.

Neverwinter Nights had the most useful context dependent radial pop-up wheel with options i've ever seen in a point & click RPG, unfortunately it didn't make it in NWN2 for some reason, it's a pity.

I'm still firmly of the belief that Rockstar realised that Saints Row just... Did it better, so they focused on the story and character, and let Volition have the customisation and the silliness. This resulted in GTA IV, which was shit, because GTA needs silliness.

OT - Dawn of War II. I liked base building and massive armies...
