1) I do love to play me some support classes - not support classes as they're listed in game, more classes that can take support roles. Mainly medic, and Pyro with The Home Wrecker to protect engie nests from spies. I used to stick to things that didn't require me to aim, but having gotten better at it, I now play just about everything but the spy. I just can't seem to get the spy down as of right now, I get way too caught up in not getting caught to actually DO anything. Working on it, though.
2) Honestly, no. I think every class - and, more importantly, every role of every class - has their own personal worst enemy. Roaming Pyro? probably a heavy. Engie-saving pyro (see above)? Those bloody spies with Spycicle and Dead Ringer, though they're more a bugbear then a nightmare in my personal book. Medics? Anything that can reach you, but especially Pyros, Spies and Snipers. Snipers? Anything near you, and also other snipers. Really, if you want to take something out, switch to another class which counters it and you should do fine. Assuming fairly equal skill levels, anyway.
3) Probably the best moment I had was the time I ran through a 5cp map with a medic behind me - in a pub, so no communication, mind - charging through, killing everything and capping the last point in what must have been less then 2 minutes. No deaths, MVP, 2 minutes tops. One guy on my team actually started complaining that Heavy Medic combo was ruining his fun, so I knocked it off, but at the same time I took that as a compliment. I do like moments like that, where with no real communication besides maybe the Z X and C keys, you manage to make a smart push in pub and play a crucial part in winning a game.
Though, a much more happy moment for me was when I was testing the robot beta map, and the server suddenly drained to about 5 people. We kinda tried to be serious for a while, and then we all seemed to collectively decide "fuck it" and - without any text chat communication, mind - all just gathered in the middle and started pissing around like we were in the Mario Kart map or something. It was just kinda nice to see, ya know? I ask you, what other game can you think of where very competitive fighting against one another can rapidly and suddenly become stuffing around with no real communication between any of the players involved?

From what I've seen bopping around pubs, there's little to no communication at all, and the few bits there are seem not to gravitate towards "F2P Nub" very often. About the only implication of noobiness that I see regularly is a call for team scramble, and that's more saying that the teams are imbalanced then singling out particular players.Twintix said:I popped in here for a question of my own.
See, I've wanted to try TF2 for quite some time now, but the hostile reactions towards F2P players were really off-putting. I know it's been, like, 3 years, but has the community gotten better about that?
