1) I do love to play me some support classes - not support classes as they're listed in game, more classes that can take support roles. Mainly medic, and Pyro with The Home Wrecker to protect engie nests from spies. I used to stick to things that didn't require me to aim, but having gotten better at it, I now play just about everything but the spy. I just can't seem to get the spy down as of right now, I get way too caught up in not getting caught to actually DO anything. Working on it, though.

2) Honestly, no. I think every class - and, more importantly, every role of every class - has their own personal worst enemy. Roaming Pyro? probably a heavy. Engie-saving pyro (see above)? Those bloody spies with Spycicle and Dead Ringer, though they're more a bugbear then a nightmare in my personal book. Medics? Anything that can reach you, but especially Pyros, Spies and Snipers. Snipers? Anything near you, and also other snipers. Really, if you want to take something out, switch to another class which counters it and you should do fine. Assuming fairly equal skill levels, anyway.

3) Probably the best moment I had was the time I ran through a 5cp map with a medic behind me - in a pub, so no communication, mind - charging through, killing everything and capping the last point in what must have been less then 2 minutes. No deaths, MVP, 2 minutes tops. One guy on my team actually started complaining that Heavy Medic combo was ruining his fun, so I knocked it off, but at the same time I took that as a compliment. I do like moments like that, where with no real communication besides maybe the Z X and C keys, you manage to make a smart push in pub and play a crucial part in winning a game.
Though, a much more happy moment for me was when I was testing the robot beta map, and the server suddenly drained to about 5 people. We kinda tried to be serious for a while, and then we all seemed to collectively decide "fuck it" and - without any text chat communication, mind - all just gathered in the middle and started pissing around like we were in the Mario Kart map or something. It was just kinda nice to see, ya know? I ask you, what other game can you think of where very competitive fighting against one another can rapidly and suddenly become stuffing around with no real communication between any of the players involved?

I popped in here for a question of my own.

See, I've wanted to try TF2 for quite some time now, but the hostile reactions towards F2P players were really off-putting. I know it's been, like, 3 years, but has the community gotten better about that?
From what I've seen bopping around pubs, there's little to no communication at all, and the few bits there are seem not to gravitate towards "F2P Nub" very often. About the only implication of noobiness that I see regularly is a call for team scramble, and that's more saying that the teams are imbalanced then singling out particular players.

1) Most fun class for me was Engineer. I could offer precious support and drive the enemy team crazy by constantly switching the location of my turret to keep them on their toes. Least fun for me was the Pyro. Getting into close range without the scout's mobility usually ended in me getting killed.

2) It's pretty well balanced, though more servers should implement a maximum number of snipers/spies on any given team. No xx360noScopexx, we really don't need a fifth sniper!

3) That's probably a Capture the Flag run I did as a scout. My team began turteling after falling behind 2-0, so I switched to Spy and checked where the enemy sentries were located and noticed a weakspot that a BONK!Scout could exploit. I changed classes again and took the enemy intel 3 times in a row without dying. 'I'm running circles around you'.

1) favorites:
solider/scout: i feel these classes are some of the skill intensive, they also give you tons of options to deal with every situation and give you a great degree of mobility through the battlefield

least favorite:
heavy: i just feel theres not much to the class, the skill ceiling is way too low

2) i dont think any class is particularly underpowered, unless maybe at the higher levels of play

3) i was playing pyro on Ghost Fort [https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Ghost_Fort] when a soldier attacked me, i reflected one of his rockets which blew him up into the air, i switched to my reserve shooter and killed him with minicrits before they touched the floor

yes of course i taunted afterwards

also on Ghost Fort [https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Ghost_Fort] i was playing Soldier when Merasmus appeared, i was fighting him near the pit when he blasted me into it, while i was falling my Soldier said the following

"DDAAAMMN YOU MERASMUS, YOU ARE THE WORST ROOOOOOMMMMAAATTTEEEE!! [https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/6/6f/Soldier_sf12_falling02.wav?t=20121027180125]"

i laughed my ass off, another reason why i love the Soldier, hes just too damn funny

1.) What is your favorite and least favorite class and why?

I really love playing Medic, especially in teams that have competent players & good class spread. Medics are always needed and I always feel like I'm doing something useful when I'm playing a Medic. I also like Pyro, Scout and Engi.

I'm not a fan of Heavy and Spy. Heavy is just too slow and the main target of two insta-kill classes. The only reason I don't like Spy is that I don't know how to play him.

2.) Do you think one class is particularly over or under powered?

Nah. Some of the guns might be though (Beggars feels pretty OP).

3.) What's your proudest, happiest, or coolest moment in game?

I just recently pocketed a great Demoman and the whole experience was incredibly enjoyable. He clearly had experience working with a Medic and hence avoided getting me constantly killed. He didn't over extend, he didn't sticky jump in the middle of enemies, he would always check if I was ok when the medi-gun beam disconnected and he would escort me to the nearest health pack whenever I needed healing etc. It was amazing!

Otherwise, I always do the 'ugly laugh' whenever I
- melee Spies to death as an Engi (has to be melee)
- air blast enemies off cliffs as a Pyro
- kill Heavies as a Scout.

1. Scout is my favorite by far. The fluid feeling you get from combining perfect movement and accuracy is what always brings me back to it. There's also the thrill of getting a pick from flanking or a clever kill from hiding somewhere or the backcap that saves the game. I enjoy them all (except spy), but scout I enjoy because I'm also good at it. I haven't invested the time to get good at soldier or demo, though it would probably be rewarding.

2. It depends how you define overpowered. I mostly play 6s, and almost universally the medic is the most powerful class in terms of value to the team. But of course a team of all medics would be awful. In pubs, a heavy or demo will be the most valuable because heals are less critical to getting kills. Or, if someone has godlike aim, sniper will be almost invincible in any scenario. Most higher level players think demo is the most op (6s not pubs). You basically have 2 primary weapons, you can do tightly controlled, long range splash damage, you have the fastest mobility, you can deny ubers, you have high health, devastating with kritzkrieg, excellent area denial with sticky traps. Look at any competitive game stats, demo invariably has top DPM.

3. I once went to a lan party with b4nny, dummy, Bdonski, and some other top invite players and got to play on their team in the tournament. Obviously they were barely trying but it still felt good to do well among them and it was an excellent experience fighting with them.

Sniper is my favourite class (with either Huntsman or the Classic) but I can play all except Spy proficiently so I regularly switch classes based on need.

As for the second question, there's no class that's over or under powered in the game. A good player as almost any class can swing the average pub game in their favour but that means absolutely nothing. Good teamwork and team composition trumps anything else 99% of the time. Judging the strength of classes in any situation without those two aspects in play is pointless.

1. Medic and Soldier, medic because I find them to be an integral part of a team and often when I join in I don't see any medics on the team. I enjoy soldier because of rocket jumping through the air and raining death on the team below. Probably my least favorite is sniper mostly because I suck at him and I find they are probably the least useful for a team.

2. I personally find all of the classes to be fairly balanced and are able to counter one another fairly well.

3. Probably my proudest moment was on Badwater Basin defending when a soldier and medic from the BLU team were about to push the cart into the final point within seconds before the game was about to end when I jumped over the ledge next to spawn and airblasted the two off of the cart and continued airblasting them as the overtime counter hit zero.
