Starship Troopers: Roughnecks. That show could have gone on for quite a while but they ended it with the one on Earth, that was a great series.
YES! That show was awesome! I was so sad when that got ended before the story line was even finished. God, it's a crying shame that shows like that died, only to get turned into mediocre first person shooters like halo (if the power armor alone isn't a dead give away, how about similar backstory, the militarism, and did I mention the power armor?).

It was like the staple of my childhood, which is handy because nothing so obscure gets rule 34'd.

Space: Above and Beyond could have been THE great sci-fi action series of the 90's. They killed at after one season, on a cliffhanger of course. Ugh.

For me it was the TV series Mortal Kombat Conquest. Sure the acting was sub par. Sure the episodes were padded out to with too much plot and not enough fighting. Sure it was cheezy. Sure it silly. But it was also strangely compelling to watch and to see what nefarious plan Shao Kahn came up with next week. And everybody died in the last episode and he won!? What the hell was that?! Plus there was a cliffhanger episode where smoke arrived and then he was never heard from again?

Mighty Max. That show was awesome back in the day. The last episode was basically the first episode, i thought it deserved better.

For British sit-coms, Celeb and Pay and Display both ended after just 1 season, which is sad because I liked both of them. Eyes Down was another show which seemed to die out quickly (it had 2 seasons rather then just the 1, though).

O MY GAWD i love zoids! ive been trying to make a few on garrys mod for ages. always fail though :/ i suck at E2
Yeah I was really pissed the way it ended with the series of the new cast in the middle of the tournament it just left it there on a cliff hanger which is what I hate also this reminds me of Shaman King and Digimon that ended I think before theire digimon thankfully tied up all the loose so I have to give it credit for that.

Zombie loan, props if you've ever heard of it, just cuts out in the middle of a story arc....and it was a good anime too.
Also, if books are allowed, where the hell is "A Dance With Dragons".
I'm looking at you, Mr. R.R.Martin

the english tv show "coupling" ended prematurely... made me sad. though if you were a fan of the show, you realised that "perhaps" it ended a series too late...
(if you never saw series 4, they got rid of jeff.)

As for a cartoon series I have to say: Swat Kats!

I mean, it had antropomorphic cats, a fighter jet, stuff blowing up, huge monsters and metal playing in the background. Pretty badass for a kids cartoon actually, but it only ran for two seasons. It was the coolest thing since Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for me. : )

The Ghost In The Shell series. I just finished watching 2nd gig and although the ending was brilliant, one of the best I've seen in anime, I wanted more dammit! That universe is far too good to bring to a close.

Primeval.
The new, Cutter-less dynamic was just starting to work when ITV canceled it. The show finale was a huge cliffhanger. A fourth season would have been awesome.
