The way Highschool of the Dead keeps going on hiatus every few months makes me wonder sometimes.

Also, Half-Life 2 ep. 3.

anyway my vote is for Elfen Lied...no...um....ok its a spot on tie between Elfen Lied and Lucky Star.
I could've sworn I heard it was being continued about a year ago but I've seen no results to that effect since. Elfen Lied that is. Ahh well there's always the manga.

Reboot and Shadow Raiders. Either make a definitive ending to them or give the licenses to someone who will. Don't just hold out on us for decades, Mainframe Entertainment.

Advent Rising: granted the game was rushed, and had other issues, but I genuinely loved that game. It is still the only game I remember playing where the final boss/ending was after the end credits. And I thought the story was pretty interesting, and the soundtrack was incredible. Sadly we will never see the continuation of the story because Majesco screwed the pooch and rushed the game out. I think Advent Rising was actually originally supposed to be a launch title for the 360.

Agreed, I may play World of Warcraft every now and then, but they really ruined some of the best characters from the series. Poor Kael'thas, they killed him off twice. And the second time he was just a 5 man dungeon. A serious downgrade from a 40 man raid boss.

Also a new anime adaptation of Excel Saga would be awesome, but I'm fine with them just throwing out manga volume after volume....

Stargate Universe, just because I'm worried.

Speaking as someone who never really got into the other Stargates (although I could see myself casually off-and-on continuing Atlantis beyond episode one), I absolutely loved the new direction for the series.

The drama, the characters, the mystery, everything seemed to come together way better then first seasons usually get too, and I can't wait for season two to start on Tuesday.

However, I know the overwhelming majority of existing fans of the franchise hated to its core and desperately desire being able to watch the entire cast and crew get spaced. And the real tragic part is I haven't seen any of these fans give a reason that doesn't sound like it stems directly from fan-boy hatred of anything that tries to be different then what they've done before (See the same attitude that got Enterprise canceled, something I will never forgive the human race for).

I honestly don't know how well it's doing for itself, and as usual in these situations those that hate are louder then those that don't, but I really hope this one stays around for a while. Or at least they get enough warning to give it a proper ending. The Destiny deserves nothing less.

I was just listening to the VGL adaptation of Bounty hunter not 30 min. ago. I loved Advent Rising for what it was, and what it could have been.

Anyway, there should've been a sequel to AR, I know there has to be a 9th season for RvB, wished that there could've been a sequel for the BBC show Jekyll.

Sly Cooper series, I keep fearing that Infamous is all Sucker Punch cares about, not that Infamous is a bad game, it's just Sly Cooper was the first PS2 game I really adored, and thus has a special, nerdy place in my heart

Haruhi Suzumiya anime series...

It will probably be continued for now... But when its time to adapt the final 2 volumes of the novel... Well, that probably won't happen...

Also, Zero no Tsukaima anime... They ended on a cliff hanger...

You may be in luck, there is a Sly Cooper collection coming out for the PS3 soon. If that does well they might start working on another game for the series.

Whilst I know Black Books has pretty much gone to god, I'll live in denial and hope that Dylan Moran and co make a new series :(

A Song of Ice and Fire.

Nothing anybody else says in this thread matters, thusly.

At least until Georgie-boy finishes the series.

Then the world can start turning again.
I think that he is probably about done, just needs to finish a few POVs and Dance will be out by next spring or summer.

That said, I've heard that the books in the middle of series are always the toughest because that's where all the action goes down. All he has to do in The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring is wrap up the story... the gigantic sprawling story... fuck, they're never coming out. Just kidding I have faith in GRRM.

Edit: At least we will have at least one season of it on HBO, and I think once we get that and it becomes the biggest hit since Lost we'll get even more.

Knights of the Old Republic.

No, The Old Republic does not count. It is an MMO.

As for non-video game media, well, you asked me not to say it.

EDIT: While I'm on the subject of Star Wars games that will never get sequels, the Jedi Knight series, Battlefront and Republic Commando.

Wasted opportunities. I would throw money at them.

HL2 Episode 3.

Will it turn into vaporware? Is Valve actually going under?
I can't imagine that. With Portal 2 coming out in February and much of the conceptual work done for HL2: Ep. 3, I don't see the collapse of Valve anytime. They've produced some of the most highly acclaimed PC games on the market. I think in a statement Valve said the reason it was taking so long was that they are making vast improvements on the engine, much in the way that Ep. 1 and Ep. 2 had noticeably better environmental effects and increased motion range for the NPCs than the original HL2.

You have no idea how badly I want a new Timesplitters.

Also the Star Wars Battlefront series. Those games kick ass.

Yes, i have faith but im fearful that GRRM will pull a Robert Jordan and die on us before finishing the series that he full intended to. But were all dying in 2012 so who gives a fuck anyway?
