This is about songs that makes us cry, bang our head or stop and think. Even though we thought they would not. Maybe it's a song from a movies, or from a game or just music you heard.

I post this because it was the first time I felt sad while listerning to song:
I feel sad just hearing again.

What is your song?

Scarecrow! It's late (at least in my part of the world), so I'm guessing that's why there's the lower traffic... Ain't this predominately a US site? I know it's based here, so I suppose I could just be assuming... Anyways-
I hadn't heard the song for a long while, and it's not the whole song that hits me hard, but the first "paragraph" of the lyrics nearly made me cry.

I am surprised when any song affects me.

I was sort of blindsided by this, though.
Just playin' a game about some cowboys, mindin' my own business, and then bam, this comes on.

It wasn't so much that it made me feel sad. But it did make me feel something.
I just have no idea what.

I always feel Karen O's pain when she sings "Maps"

Poor girl bursts into tears everytime it's performed live.

At the time when this song came out over here I was dealing with a breakup which was essentially my fault. I just had Kerrang on one night and it came on, first time I heard it, and the lyrics blindsided me.

Particularly: "We all need the person who can be true to you, I left her when I found her, now I'd wished I'd stayed"

"Some search, never finding a way, before long, they waste away. I found you, something told me to stay, I held on to selfish ways and now I miss someone to hold when hope begins to fade"

One of the last times I actually cried listening to this, well over two years ago now.

I'm not surprised Memories of Life from FF IX makes me cry. It's a very beautiful song.

I am surprised I feel a bit emotional when I hear Eyes On Me from FF VIII, since I don't like that song.

Well for a song that came out of left field and really threw me:

I actually get pretty sad listening to it. I wouldn't have thought that band would have it in them.

Nah, we just are too silent and asleep to even care for your post, sorry. No offense BTW. I had just woke up one hour ago.

OT: All of these:
There are some more, but these are the main ones.

Songs don't typically affect me much. Maybe a really, really epic piece of music will give me the shivers, or I'll notice a really beautiful part - but normally it just makes me happy or energetic. So when I listened to "Mary" by Yann Tiersen, and just burst into tears, I was pretty damned surprised, because I haven't cried in years.

Actually, The Beatle's 'I'm looking through you'
I could use it word for word for someone I know.

The first song I've ever cried to was this one in the evening when my girlfriend and I broke up. I put on my MP3 player and listened to it to try to go to bed. This made the tears fall, about 2 days later. The fact she was my first and it lasted 5 years probably says more.

Otherwise, I love this song.

The only other is this song from the movie "Miller's Crossing". I don't know if it was because of the use of the song in "The Last Guardian" trailer or not, but it moves me.

I've had close calls before, but those two made me shed tears like no other.

EDIT: "It's Only Take a Moment" from Hello Dolly!, but that was probably Wall-E's fault.
