try to take someone out on your way? toss a grenade at your feet and open fire? I'm sure there are more creative/fun ways to go out than just hitting the "eat a bullet" button
The best 'suicide button' is one of two things: The click of an empty magazine as you dump ammunition into the people on the other team just to get a few more kills, or a cooked grenade.TimeLord said:I'm (kinda) serious.
My thought was a 'suicide' button in FPS games in situations where you know you are going to die but don't want to give the other team a kill!
Yeah it's a cowards way out. But if you are stuck in a building with no way out and enemies closing on you from all sides, then I think it's an idea.
I know it would probably never work as it would create immense amount of controversy but I would like to know thoughts on the idea in general.
I think the potential for griefing outweighs any good of having this button.TimeLord said:I'm (kinda) serious.

Actually, no. Mech Assault 2 has it. It still lets you die with the right thumbstick.Greyfox105 said:Hehehe, Mech Assault had one in splitscreen multiplayer, once your mech was destroyed in the co-op mode, you'd spawn on foot, and can't do anything except get trod on, shot, or make yourself die by clicking the right thumbstick. Of course, you could run around.
Mech Assault 2 lacked that feature, but when on foot, you could plant bombs, and blow yourself up.
