Amazon is where I shop for videogames nowadays. It allows me to be stingy and take my time pondering whether I should buy it or not. I don't do weeks of research. I just stop by Amazon's product page every other day or so.

The prices tend to fluctuate often so Amazon really knows how to make me keep coming back.

EDIT: one down side. If I happen to click on.. lets say: Twilight books or something that I have zero interest,

Amazon sends you email almost like its saying "Do you remember you reeeeeeeeallly like this Twilight book that you viewed only once? Here are some others that people have bought!"

Other than that, pretty pleased with the service.

EDIT#2: Finished with the survey. Hope it helps!

I still like doing it. Unfortunately all the shops I would go to keep closing down. It's nice to occasionally find a sweet pre-owned bargain or discount DVD. I also still like book shops even though I have a Kindle.

I only go to a store if there is a very specific reason to. of course with exceptions like food. Like, if whatever I'm trying to buy is only available in the store.

Online shopping has such a large variety that it kinda makes going to a store impractical.

Amazon keeps track of what you viewed, though I'm not sure for how long. But if you ever click on something you're not interested in (or get linked to it, that happens to me a lot), you can scroll down to the bottom of the main page and click on "View and Edit Your Browsing History", then delete the stuff you don't want it to take into consideration.

States here, So.California. If we can't find it during our monthly shopping trip - I go to Amazon.com and use my Prime Membership. So, I try to find things in stores, but if I can't find it or if I think they are too overpriced, it's Amazon time; usually works out. (Survey completed)

The only time I will buy something online is when I can't get it in a physical store. Examples:

My Little Pony seasons 1 and 2 (not fair, Amazon, not fair!)

Kotobukiya, Alter, and other statues. Because there are no stores where I live that sell these things.

Certain issues of the MLP comics, because I'm not driving across the U.S. just to visit Jetpack.

Anime, because Suncoast closed here and Best Buy seems to be hell-bent on getting rid of their anime department.

Sometimes, Amazon will offer a killer deal (free twenty dollar gift card if I preorder a game) and thus that is the only time when I will chose the online option over the store one.

My reasons for buying everything else in-store (even if it costs more) are basically two. My credit card does have that big of a limit, and gas is just getting more expensive. Thus, because of that fact, I don't like to use my credit card for anything other than buying gas. It's a little embarrassing if I go to buy something and suddenly realize that doing so would put my card over the limit and thus it would be rejected.
The other reason is security. I'm always worried when I buy from a new seller on Amazon because I'm afraid of what will happen with my credit card information. That may sound silly to a lot of people, but it's how I feel. With my debit card and physical stores, I don't have either of those worries.

I also like getting the item I want right now. Go in, pick it up off the shelf, buy it, and it's mine. The waiting can be maddening sometimes (such as waiting for season 2 at the moment), and I find myself constantly checking the locations of my Amazon packages to see how close they are to my home. So that's why I prefer stores to online, but I admit that online certainly has its advantages over a store.

Thanks for the tip although I made habit of browsing incognito for general Amazon browsing.
