I would say Gears of War back when I was good at it and played online with my friends, because we dominated, and when you dominate in Gears the kills you get feel so satisfying.

Spiderman 2. I just like roaming around the city and such. I also played Assassin's Creed once and that was fun for the same reasons, but I'm not sure if the fun holds out since I don't own it.

Medal of Honour: Frontline on the PS2.

It has a cheat that means enemies won't die unless you shoot them in he head. Coupled with infinite ammo and invincibility, it never gets old running up to an ss soldier and shotgunning him halfway down the map.
Every time he gets back on his feet, FACHOOM! into the stomach and over he goes another five feet screaming in agony.
Twisted, yes, stress relieving, definately.

I also find playing TF2 as an Engineer or Heavy extremely relaxing, they don't need half as much brain input or reactions as the other classes.

I feel like I'll be slapped round the face for saying it, but Fable 2, I've finished the game 100%...Twice, and I still fail to be bored of it, my Evil character is brilliant for relieving stress, violence is cathartic, as it clearing out an entire village with a massive sword while looking like a pimp.

Or just...Frying them all with a lightning spell with a 5 mile area of effect radius...
Everything you mentioned I agree with. However, the social part stresses me out. I mean when I'm killing stuff and I say "lets check up on my spouce..... Hmm they want a divorce. Son of a *****." And trying to be a goodguy. THAT was stressful.

The game that really does it for me is TFU. I've only played the demo though. Everyone keeps telling me how bad it is and that i shoulden't waist my money, but nothing gets me like loading a stormtrooper up with lightning then launching him at all his buddies and watching them explode in SLOW-MO!

This is why more games need an "endurance" mode. I would say Far Cry 2, though it often CAUSES stress at the rate it crashes. You can carry a rotating grenade launcher with 16 extra grenades, plus two other explosive weapons, all at the same time. So if you intend on stocking up on ammo later, you can just go nuts on enemies with all your funbombs.

Also, CS:S can be fun when you turn on "zombie-mode." This is basically what inspired Left 4 Dead: Just put all the bots on one team, and give them knives only. Then mow them all down. This is sometimes more difficult than it seems.

<a href=http://gmarcade.com/downloadzip.php?id=10>DEATH WORM!

Ah, good times.

Press insert and type: "dhole" - invincibility; "space" - low-gravity; "namcap" - become a PacWorm; "grow" - use +/- to change size.

Mine would probably be Mirror's Edge's demo for now, since not once was I tempted to turn off my system in agitation or boredom, and it made me 'want' to keep playing because of how fun it was!
Where the hell did you download the Mirror's Edge demo from? I can't find it anywhere :(

EDIT: Wow, I just read that the demo won't be released for the PC till January. I'm fucking furious now. I'm sick of being shunned off by mainstream, consuming, console-weilding pricks. Its no doubt down to EA. Money-grabbing, ignorant assholes. EA is a plague.

GTA IV is my great stress reliever. Stealing, shooting and blowing stuff up always makes me feel better.

Mega Man X Collection. Every once in a while I play through one of the games. They've aged very well. Dueling against element/animal themed death machines never gets old. The SNES games look amazing (the beginning of Bubble Crab's stage in X2 in particular is awe-inspiring). The music also kicks ass (Who doesn't love X1's intro stage music?).

As soon as you get to the main menu you'll see why. There's no point to it, just avoid the big fish...
Lol I just spent like ten minutes on that game. Pretty fun. :p
