That the escapist is full of people who will bash America and religion no matter if it's involved or not, and that these same people are incredibly hostile to those with a different opinion than them. I must admit, it's getting ridiculous.

That if one person makes a good joke in a comment, and someone else realises it can be modified to be used repeatedly everywhere, by the end of the week, a bunch of twelve year olds have ruined that joke and everyone is divided neatly into people who find it funny for some reason, people who use it 'ironically' and people who end up avoiding the pages they love for fear of seeing the same joke again. *end rant*
also, I've learnt that ranting on the internet is pointless :p

How misogynistic and racist most people really are. Obvious some people are just trolls, but I have met so many real ones at this point that it's just...kind of fucking ridiculous.

That if all the planets align on Friday the 13th, an entire thread on a forum website will have all people posting something that's actually relevant to the OP's original post.

The internet is bullshit. Not in that its rubbish, just that its so easy to kill time and keep occupied. Before I realise its been 3 hours and I havn't even dealt with the issue I logged on for. Guess its just distracting.

The internet never forgives and never forgets.
Especially when it comes to grammar and spelling.

I disagree with you. Maybe you're not doing it right.
Well, my example dealt with a fairly generic event name. I googled my location, with the event name, the first 2 pages of answers were incorrect simply because the name was so common.

It took about 5 minutes of back and forward 'no, that's something different' until I finally hit paydirt.

All this because the guy was too lazy to type out what and where it was.

The whole reason why I ask people questions is to save time. Especially if I know THEY know. There is no greater dick move than withholding information simply because it exists on the internet.

Thanks to Sturgeon's Law and the GIFT:

>Net respect for the sum of all things in this world is lost at a greater rate than it is earned.
>People express their true selves over the internet, allowing us to validate the premise that over 99% of humans are idiots.
>The internet has shown us that the notion of general or collective agreement is very elusive on even the most trivial of matters.
>Somehow, the internet remains awesome.

That joining a group made up of thousands of others like you can make you feel like an "individual free spirit" as long as somewhere, someone has an immense hatred of said group.
