Bah, Steam has had distinctly Russian games (e.g. The Void) before; hell they've even had a Chilean game (being Zeno Clash.) I don't see why the fact that they are putting up a very Japanese game is so special.

Because Steam is the largest digital distribution network in the world. And Japan is the has the largest video game economy in the world. But despite that this is the first Japanese computer game to be released on steam that was not a port of a console game.
