As I'm sure you are all aware, something of huge global importance is scheduled to happen tomorrow. I am of course talking about by 9th Birthday as an Escapist member.
That makes me an old man, and one of the few people who never bothered to move on. In the last nine years of real life, I've moved house, changed jobs, got married, wrote two hundred (mostly unread) reviews on tvtropes, never gotten around to finishing that novel, outlived a dozen or so pet fish, and even managed to ask some searching questions about my sexuality on the way. And then on the escapist I've only managed a few thousand posts, mostly about "problematic" things, never managed to acquire more than a few friends (who I never talk to), and with the exception of the last few months, never once updated my profile picture.
As an escapist OAP, who most certainly deserves some kind of badge for persistence, feel free to bask in my reflected glory. Or ask me questions about the good old days (which weren't necessarily as good). Or tell me about how you're even older. Or wish me a happy birthday, dammit.
