I so agree, in fact, our beaches are usually covered in filth, rubbish and other objects that humans like to throw at the sea (see what I did there? no, neither do I).
And our government IS shit.
Seriously, we are governed by a guy that once said fuck on tv confusing it with another word (spanish language=weird)
So you know...
I'm thinking, if I ever become a politician, I will swear and do normal stuff
Hey, you get who you voted for...
And I like to swear

But really, is the Spanish language that weird?
Because I was planning on learning it, that or French
Any French people here?
And how hard is your language?

Born in Scotland, raised in England. So, therefore, I am British.

Also, I'd have thought most Escapists would be American, or possibly Australian, rather than British, but I suppose I'll never know unless there's a census going round. Well, that, or if every Escapist posts in this thread and I read all the posts.

I am Canadian. I'd say most people on here are British or American. Canadians are strongly influenced by both. We are sort of like a bastard child.

Edit: Also, I am pretty sure our Canadian English is very similar to English (England) English. Rather than American English.

I'm Scottish.

I have an English father and a Northern Irish mother, but born in Scotland.

I consider myself Scottish first, British second.

Well I didn't vote for that dipshit. I mean, he even dared say that the inflation levels were acceptable when they were at 5. SERIOUSLY NOW
I also love to swear, not when I'm being filmed though.
The spanish language is not very weird, considering that it has like god knows how many cousin languages all deriving from latin, but the sheeeeeeer amoun of verb conjugations and tiny petty rules you get to remember or else be grammar nazid by everyone. At any rate, it's probably not worth it, unless you are spending a huge amoun of time here or other latino countries. And even then you'll be better off just buying a translation dictionary
