What, as in face paint or altering your skin tonality actually blue? Changing your skin like that chemically would be very unwise I would think. The only option I can think of would be a full body tattoo, but that would preclude you from a life of professional careers I would think.

I'm struggling to see a legitimate, benificial reason to turning yourself blue, the best I've got is 1) the girls/boys changing rooms have blue walls so your hoping to see a bit of ding a ling while camoflaged or 2) your going to a fancy dress party as Dr Manhattan or pappa smurf. On behalf of the escapist and many, MANY people around the world, put the silver down and walk away. However i do apologise for this:
desease...exposure....which(not burn at the stake witch) im a teacher, i cant help it

1) As with any permanent body modification, you need to be absolutely sure you will want it for ever, not just for a few years or even a few decades. You are likely to live to 70+ so don't do anything which is going to ruin your later life for short term excitement.

2) Because you are effectively poisoning yourself over several years to get the desired result, there's no way to control the outcome. You wouldn't necessarily turn blue all over, in fact it's very unlikely to affect the whole body equally. You could end up with very unsightly mottling or patches, and the colour could vary between very pale (as in above example) to deep grey. There is no guarantee you would be happy with the results.

3) Don't count on musical talent to see you through your entire life. The music industry is fucking harsh. Also, don't assume that having an unsightly illness (or even a complete full body tattoo) is not going to affect you in any kind of musical career.

I am sorry sir, but I could not possibly imagine a more irresponsible idea. Possibly skydiving into an erupting volcano, or spending a night in bed with a shark.

First off, sir, work on your punctuation, I KNOW you said excuse grammar/spelling but when you're posting on a forum that's no excuse for not even using capital letters, people have to READ that shit, dude.

Secondly, I know this is probably going to sprout some "lulz" posts because your username is "Futureman" but how on earth do you know you're going to do well because you are "musically talented?"
I have a friend who's older brother just got a music contract (without being blue by the way) that supplied him a HUGE salary which allowed him to buy a house on the coast of California at the age of 25, he is STILL worried about his future.

QED: you do not know what is going to happen next.

There is no reversible option here. Turning yourself blue will require you to either poison yourself or tattoo 20 square feet of skin (that is assuming you're not going to cheat and just tattoo your hands, feet and face blue), which will fade in a few years anyway.

Chances are, turning yourself blue (by safe means or otherwise) will repeatedly put you into a position where people will not hire you. Hell, turning yourself blue will probably put you into a position where people won't even speak to you.

In short, just don't, reflect on the many reasons why you shouldn't, agree with them, and then just don't.

With good reason.

My partner's younger brother has a contract (although he bought a house in Liverpool, not quite the same). He's in an amazing band though and is talented beyond belief. But even he's smart enough to know it's not going to last and has a back up plan in place.

The music industry is not reliable. If you're lucky it will make you moderately successful for a few years, but it's not a job for life. Also, while you might think looking 'crazy' will help your music career, novelty doesn't sell as well as you might think. Get some piercings, maybe a tattoo and do a sound engineering course on the side.. I really wouldn't suggest inducing a permanent skin disease.

Have you considered just painting yourself like the Blue Man Group for a while just to see what it would be like?

Also, just because you're musically talented doesn't mean you'll do well. Some of the best musicians of all time died homeless and without a penny.

I'm finding it hard to believe this. Why on EARTH do you wan't to turn your skin blue? Do you want to be viewed as a freak in society, and never get a girlfriend, a job and be a social outcast? Is this some plea for attention?

Your life would be significantly WORSE if your skin was blue, and there are no advantages. If you're not a pot-head (which is what you're REALLY coming off as) I'll eat my phone.

Also, you KNOW you're going to do well in life because you can strum a few nice chords?

You need to wake up to the world.

Don't try and turn yourself blue, even if you do find a way. You will ultimately regret it.

Isn't this meant to be an advice forum? Sometimes advice has to be harsh.

I'm sorry to say, but doing so might get you rejected from society.

I don't think many ladies/men like blue people that terribly much (no offence).
