A wild "Epic Poster" appeared!

Recently received a notification saying I've unlocked and have been awarded the "Epic Poster" badge (For obtaining 1000 posts without an infraction).

Whilst this is good, and is my personal goal on this website that i have been working towards for almost 2 years now...


I don't even have 500 yet...


What this supposed to happen or whaaaaat?


Can it be removed? I'd like to earn it legit if possible.

What's your favorite badge on the Escapist and why?

Anyways, it has to be the "On fire" badge. Only because it reminds me of when I fabricated a story for a thread on here about me wanting to bang a cousin of mine. I wanted to see how many Escapists were much like the banjo playing Americans in the south.

OT: My favorite badge has to be my rainbow powah!! badge. I can't tell you guys how to get it but it always makes me feel good about myself whenever I see it.

I just got it. At first I thought it was legit, because I'm not far off. Thought I just hadn't noticed myself breaking 1000.

So somehow I managed to earn the epic poster without ever making 1000 posts. Now I'm a swell guy but I'm confused. Can anyone explain how this happened or did the site just decide to be charitable today.

Since that lacks discussion value once my questions answered bring up any times you remember the Escapist has borked for you.

I also suddenly got this badge as well and I'm definitely under the 1000 post mark. I guess it's just a glitch on the site then.

I think this has happened to several other users that are under 1000 posts. It's just a glitch.

Really, the only two things that come to mind is the 5001 messages bug, and several times the forum lists for off topic, gaming discussion, and a couple others end up devoid of threads.

Well I am glad I am not the only one. Was just looking for a way to contact some staff that could help cause knowing my luck someone would see it on me and I would be banned. Oh evil badge, trying to get me killed it is.
