hmm well i have played shit tons of bad games...and i mean fucking bad.games that are worse then most flash games ever created bad...

but games that took me basically half the time to "try and get into" but i never got into and fell asleep in?

bioshock and half life (1 and 2)

they aren't bad games..they are just so boringggg and i dont get a huge raging boner like half the world does playing them, so probably my worst anticipated purchases i have made in the past 8 years or so..

2 of the worst games I have ever played:

The Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring (2003) - Insanely boring and generic strategy game with craptastic game art and should be ashamed to carry the Lord of the Rings title

Rise of the Argonauts - I wouldn't have played this were it not the game our group picked for a Game Design class project. Repetitive combat, worthless character upgrade system, idiotic companion character AI, boring and linear game environments, disgustingly cut and pasted end game battles, and the coup de grace...a story that mangles Greek mythology and then shits all over it. My one sentence review...almost.

Who the fuck decided that Hercules should look like Bluto on steroids?

Sniper Scope on the Gameboy Advance.

It's a good arcade game, and in retrospect I should have known that it just wouldn't work on a gameboy, but yeah, it's terrible.

FarCry 2. The game got so tedious, hair pulling, controller smashing frustrating and soon the only fun part of the game was just turning it off. Come to think of it why on Earth did I even want to play it? I can't recall saying "I want to get that game!" odd... Maybe it was all just a terrible nightmare?

Starcraft 2. Ok ok, its not the worst, but I still didnt like it. I dont understand what all the hype is about. Its just an average RTS thats been marketed up the ass.

Beyblade on the PS1. You get pretty much no control in that game. Not good for what is essentially a fighting game.

Dead Space.

It's not bad, but I can't beat it cuz I get freaked out, so I have a grudge against it.
Then it really isn't the worst game you've ever played, is it? :p Your opinion is based off a pre-existing grudge over a feeling the game was meant to invoke, instead of analyzing its mechanics, flow, replay value, and other such elements from an unbiased perspective, which I think too many people do when claiming games like MW2 or Halo are the "worst pieces of shit ever." If they would actually bother to be relatively unbiased in their opinions (instead of exaggerating due to unrealistic expectations), they would realize there are tons of games that are much worse.

With that said, the worst game I think I've played is Wayne's World on the NES. Sluggish controls, boring-ass pacing, and overall bullshit scenarios. Watch the Angry Nerd's review to get the gist of how I feel.

I remember the abomination that was this game.

I didn't own the NES or the game. But I played it. I still remember the frustration.

Same here. I remember getting sucked into the hype, with the amazing graphics and immersion (actually pulling bullets out of yourself and stuff) and all that. I should have listened to my friend. It's a fun game when your still discovering new features and stuff, but by the time I got to the second half of the map, I just wanted the game to end.

And when it finally did, I hated it so much more for it. The ending sucked.

I think I need to direct the attention of the readers to a little jewel called Rage of Mages. i was seriously hoping I'd wake up and forget that i ever played that game. If you see it at a used game store for a dollar, it will make a nice frisbee.

Fuck. That. Shit.
You were actually lucky enough to play one? I have never met someone who has and it's also worth quite a lot on eBay now

OT: For my worst game I would have to pick Sonic Unleashed. It drove me nuts with it's stupid hub world, pointless collectables, shit boss battles, leap of faith gameplay, werehog sections, irritating characters and just half arsed level design

I paid £25 and it hurts me to this day. I knew before I even got to the menu screen it'd be shit.
