This'll be the first time I will be playing this part in the franchise, Any pointers or anything else that I might need to know? I should be doing this in coop with my friend here, anything different in this installment compared to the others? Let me know, I'm about to beat this on the hardest difficulty.

Well the game is a lot easier once you get a little in. Health packs and ammo are plentiful. They key is to find a good weapon combo you can cheese the game with. Me, I quit the game about 80% in because even on Hard it was too damn easy once I realized that the Force Gun/Contact Beam combo basically lets you laugh through every single fight. I spent hours of the game with a full inventory of ammo and health. So yeah, cheesy combos like that. A knockback with high burst. Limb shots aren't as important for a lot of enemies in this game so go nuts.

You are playing co op. That's the most important thing right there. There are sections of the game that are closed off completely if you don't have a partner. Which is dumb in my opinion, because what happens to those sections once EA decides to no longer bother with this game? Poof! Gone.

Otherwise, the combat sadly has been pretty much stream lined. The limb shots aren't as important as in other games, and fight human enemies is too easy no matter what you play on. If you can get a hold of the plans to make an auto rifle, then you can just unload on things.

Be warned. If you play on Survivor (I think that's what it's called), you and your partner cannot die. At all. If you do, you are sent all the way back to the game. My friend and I had to copy our save files and then just kept loading those because there were some parts where we just couldn't get through without tripping up.

I would recommend the telemetry spike pistol, modded for damage. It is very powerful, as you can pin guys to walls in a few hits while having a large clip size.

The games actually pretty fun so far though I do have to say it's a lot easier than the other ones, in my opinion. But I am having fun with it so far which I expect to be good. I've gotten I believe to mission 6.

As soon as you are able, get you a carbine rifle and force gun combo. Mod it with acid bath and a damage mod. Plug damage/reload, clip/reload and ROF (rate of fire)/clip or ROF/damage circuits into it as you get them, keeping an eye on the stats so you don't accidentally plug in a reload when you don't need to. Win the game. Rinse, repeat.

If you want to stock up on items for harder playthroughs, rip through the game on casual. The amount of any particular item you get is directly tied to the difficulty level you play on. Harder = less. Don't be afraid to use stasis, but don't rely on it. Sell stasis chargers for resources. Always carry one or two tungsten torque bars for torque doors. Don't forget you can rip the arm-blades off of Necromorph corpses with kinesis in a pinch. Once you unlock the scavenger bots, they will be your best friends in finding resources. Listen for the wobbly noise as you're tromping around. Also, big up your RIG armour and health as fast as possible. Make frequent trips to benches to unload gear, particularly in the early game, as your inventory space will be limited.

And lastly: The outside space areas always respawn their loot when you come back outside. Farm that shit, there is a ton of loot just floating around out there. You won't regret spending the time doing so.

I think that's it, anyway.

EDIT: Oh yeah, stomp corpses regardless of whether you think they're dead or not. Sometimes the game doesn't cause them to drop loot when they die unless you stomp them, and it's very aggressive with the body culling. If you don't think you can get to a body before it's culled, just shoot it and move onto the next enemy.
