Definitely DooM, System Shock2, Bioshock, Earthworm Jim, Diablo, Fallout, Sonic Spinball and Starcraft come to mind. What about YOU?

This thread has been done hundreds of times. Metal Gear Solid is my favorite all around with Professor Layton and Final Fantasy VI right behind it.

Fallout 3 or the GTA games (3 onwards). I can't remember which one of the GTA games had the best radio though.

I am re-enjoying Mercenaries II at the moment. I enjoy the music in it a lot.

There is really a lot of good stuff out there these days. I'm not sure I have heard a really poor soundtrack for a large number of years.

All the Blizzard games (Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft), the Halo soundtracks, the music in Shadow of the Colossus (during the battles), the legend of zelda (all of them), super mario, and finally (surprise) Demon's Souls soundtrack (the boss battles).

Started really getting into that today. And the first thing I noticed (aside from Jin being a cheap bastard[footnote]search your hearts, you know it's true[/footnote]) is that the soundtrack is really good.

Does this have any relation to Guilty Gear by any chance?

Yea, Blazlbue is Guilty Gears spiritual successor, and everything from the concepts tot he music is done by the exact same dude, Diasuke Ishiwitari. Guy is fucking brillaint at making just flat out awesome tunes.

Jins not cheap...you just gotta know how to approaching him, now Lambda-11 is fucking cheap.

OP: Guilty Gear and Blazblue, they are just made of pure awesome.

For me it's a tie between Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy X. I used to have the songs from there on my mp3 player before it broke.

Lambda isn't cheap, is she? I main her (and Ragna). I haven't fought a human Lamda, but she definitely is cheap when score attack CPU is using her. I swear it's controller reading/abusing CPU reflexes sometimes. Tager always backdashes-Tager Driver at the exact right moment, Hakumen always counters at the exact right moment, Lamda always shoots you out of the sky at the exact right moment, etc etc.
